Freeform exploration, freeform gameplay, amazing atmosphere.
Buzz words that describe..
Fallout actually ;) Anyone here remember that?
Well, I'm in charge of a mod that brings the Fallout world into the morrowind engine.
Interested?

*grin* While I must admit I think you're off your rocker, I do have this to say about a Fallout in the Morrowind engine:
Cooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool *drool*

Tell me when it's done, not before.

What are the chances of me having Morrowind still installed when (if?) this is complete? Pretty small I'd say. Would I reinstall? Hell yes.
It's been a long time since I've been a porn star, sold drugs and mutilated two headed cattle for fun and profit.
I'm keeping my eye on this one.

We are, perhaps, a little insane, and yes, we know it'll take a while for us to do.
I do expect though that when it does come out, quite a few people will be willing to reinstall Morrowind to play our mod.

the weirdest thing is that i actually already tought about this lol.
all my spells have weird names.
a targetable mega-frostbite spell is named Nuclear Winter.
a targetable mega-fireball is named Scorched earth (sp?)
and a Really cool mega-poison is Chemical Warhead.
i'm gonna keep my eye on this.

:) sounds like you were already in the mood without realising it :D

Of course, you're not going to have spells in the Fallout mod, right?
Xaphod on 2/8/2002 at 12:24
No, magic will be disabled. We're probably going to use the Magicka bar as a radiation indicator, which only appears if you have a geiger counter.
Some effects are going to be achieved with dummy spells effects that the game automatically casts on the player though.
Guns are a major concern of ours as well. if anyone finds a good way of getting them to work please let me know.

Wasteland was a cool RPG. Got really weird at points. Pity I was so RPG-ignorant back then.
And what's more, BG2 is better than NWN, except for lack of 3rdEd. Thus, IWD2 will be better than NWN, except for lack of story. Thus, RPGs are a bugger. Hijack ends.
