Anywhere to buy SS2 legally (digital download)?

At this point, I don't see that it matters. The (copied) disc is only for installing the game, and SOME RUMOURS CLAIM that a certain patch utility ALLEDGEDLY acts as a no-cd crack as a side-effect of numerous other improvements. The installer itself has no check, you can run it from anywhere as long as most of the directory structure is kept. I believe it is still the case that you are entitled to use a no-cd crack for programs you legally own.

EDIT: Oh, except in the U.S. Unlucky.

There's several used copies on Amazon for as little as 30 bucks. Disc and jewel case only, but what more do you need?

I'd snag one now, before it goes the route of Planescape Torment. (discs only = $$$.$$)

Sounds like the trouble I went through to get SS1. Finally a couple months ago I got an original box Enhanced CD copy off Ebay for $25.00 (guy obviously didn't know jack about video games and set that as the "buy it now" price).

Getting SS2 was relatively easy in comparison. Of course that was a few years ago, so it might be harder now.

I downloaded it other day don't be such a big girl... I would give you the link but that's like commiting the 7 deadly sins, 3rd degree murder, rape and terroism on these forums.

Logically it's just a crap old game, that only a handful bother to play anymore and i really don't know why people winge about downloading it when they it wouldn't affect any business anymore ???

Which mod? I have tried most of them at different times, but always leave the CD in because I assumed it had to be in. If I could leave it in its lovely big cardboard box to protect it and only have to use it for reinstallations I would sweat less when using it!

I still have my big box version with the manual.. after I paid £12 for it secondhand in 2000.

I also have Torment in its box with all discs as well - that was a whole £5 from someone at work a couple of years ago who clearly didnt know how much it was worth! (mind you I didnt know it was worth that much either)

My version of Torment came bundled with the hilariously inaccurate novelisation. As you read it becomes increasingly clear that the writer was only shown concept art from the game and ran in quite the wrong direction with most of it.
