After finishing Bioshock again, I have the urge to play SS2 again, and this time avoid the all-powerful assault rifle and actually try the other weapons ;)
Is there anywhere you can buy it legally, and download it? Shipping things to where I live is expensive, so I don't want to use Ebay or the like.

No. Due to the murky copyright situation and EA not giving a flying fig there are no digital resellers. Second hand hard copies are the only legal way.

I just bought a copy off ebay in 8/10 condition and it's the DISPLAY model with the fold-out panel :D Also has all stickers and original contents :D :D

And now, that HOTU went down a few months ago..... :( (Of course, that version was not the same as the original, at least all the cutscenes were worse. But the main point is not that: it's alwas a bad feeling, if you can't show your respect to devs with buying their games. I feel sorry of HOTU because of other reasons... it was a great archive. RIP)
Anyway, I always wanted to buy that one and tried it a few times, but i was everytime outbidded.
It's a shame that this wonderful game is not accessible.

If you want a copy of the game with box and everything, expect to pay about 100 bucks. For the CD only however you can get it for MUCH cheaper.

I expect the used prices to get worse as Bioshock 2 approaches. If you want it, get it sooner rather than later. I got mine a few months ago...large box and all inserts included. It was pricey at $75 USD, but I don't regret it, since it's my own fault for constantly passing on buying it in 1999 (and a few years beyond) when it was readily available in stores.

Ugh that sucks. I'd definitely make a copy of that CD so you don't have to put any extra strain on it.
