I recently acquired an amulet with a constant water breathing effect. I decided to walk the sea floor and look for things like pearls and such (like in Morrowind), but found nothing. I walked all the way to the end of the map, and "fell" off the water. Anyway, before I waste an hour or more, is there anything of interest to hunt around for underwater?
Thanks,

Fin Gleam helmet, slaughterfishes, clams with pearls, and the occasional underwater chest. That's about it in the water.

There's not nearly as much interesting underwater stuff as there was in Morrowind. No sunken shipwrecks, and one or maybe two underwater cavern entrances to explore. Aside from that, there's one Thieves Guild quest where that amulet will be handy, and a handful of caverns that have enough water in them to make it useful. One in particular is almost entirely full of water and has Argonians for you to fight.

No cool sunken dwemer dungeons with unique cuirass artefacts in Oblivion, I'm afraid.
