If you all want to branch out, (
http://www.101cookbooks.com/) here is an interesting blog. It's from a vegetarian cook, and the recipes look great. I've been meaning to try some of these for a long time.

Yes I do:
Every 4 days:
Unsupported concentration curls dumbbell 55lbs/25kg 7 reps 3x each arm
Incline dumbbell flyes with 12kg/26 each arm lbs 8 reps 3x
Dumbbell front raise for shoulder, 14kg/30lbs 7 reps 3x each arm
Once a week:
Situps with 10kg/22 pounds weight in hands behind head 10 reps 3x
Triceps exercise ''nosebreaker'' with dumbbells, usually 8 reps each arm with 8kg / 17lbs - my weakest part
Started cycling a month ago:
3 times a week 36 kilometers to a nearby castle, about 8 kilometers steep (steep = 8kmh / 5mph max speed) road. Driving down the steep part I reached 45 miles per hour / 70 kmh today! Thats way more fun than boring dumbbell exercises for sure! :D

I'm not too terribly big on vegetarian meals, but I have to admit that some of those recipes do look pretty tasty. I might try my hand at making that red pesto ravioli here soon.

If you aren't gasping for air after a few minutes, you aren't getting the full benefit.
Yeah that's what I've heard, although I really am gasping pretty much to capacity by the end of the 1.5. My biggest complaint about the tread is definately
a) it's slow to increase speed,
b) it's most definately harder on the joints I feel, and
c) the damn belt slips every few dozen seconds and makes you feel like you've just jogged onto an ice rink.
That said, trying to run outside in the Florida and Texas heat is too much for me to turn my back on a nice air conditioned gym with a fan and a stereo:D. Perhaps in 4 months when I move to someplace cooler perhaps.

treadmills are such balls I hate them so much, if it's too hot to go outside I'll either get up early to go out or will forgo running.

I'm with ya Thief13x. I live in McKinney and it is hot as hell this summer. Most of my outdoor running has happened before 6 am lately.

Beans and rice are great if you are trying to eat healthy, watch your carb and calorie intake and want to up your protein. Beans are stupid good for you, and really really easy to cook, and mixed with rice give you all the essential amino acids. I make lentil and veg. soup every week or so, enough for 2 or 3 days and put it in refridgerator. Also black beans + rice (can cut out tortilla if you want to lower calories and carbs more). I'm not extravagant in my cooking, but I love it.
I've been experimenting with my protein shakes quite a bit too. I got sick of nasty ones so we started getting lots of fruit to put in them, they are to the point I would do them just for taste, and its got a lot of good stuff in it, so sometimes I'll forgo a full lunch for a good shake. Usual ingreds are half banana, cantaloupe, honeydew if I have some (substitute peaches for cantaloupe honeydew sometimes), protein powder, walnuts and or almond butter.
Been drinking those twice daily for months and not tired of them at all.

My wife is the queen of shakes.
Try a banana/avocado mix. It is stupid yummy. Supposedly avocados are one of those mega foods that you could survive on in a healthy way (although I don't plan to try it). Bananas and mangos are great for sweeteners.
I would also suggest using some frozen fruit... you can get frozen blackberries, strawberries, etc. Lastly, we also put frozen spinach and green beans inside of shakes to umph some nutrients and grean leafies... it gives it an earthy flavor but you'd be surprised how you can't taste them. Our kids wolf them down and won't touch spinach otherwise (well unless it is in a stir fry).
I'll have to try the almond butter :thumb:
