I've had IL-2 Sturmovik: Battle of Stalingrad for ages but never really touched it much. I always wanted to try out some multiplayer, but never really got around to asking anyone - so, is anyone up for it?
It's on sale on (
https://store.steampowered.com/app/307960/IL2_Sturmovik_Battle_of_Stalingrad/) Steam and their (
https://il2sturmovik.com/store/battle-of-stalingrad/) official site right now for not a lot of money. It probably plays best if you at least have a joystick and some headtracking (TrackIR or VR).

It's more hardcore than War Thunder, but way more casual than DCS. I'd be up for setting the automatic engine management stuff on (because I know it gets a bit much having to micromanage fuel mixtures). I'm interested in trying to do a bunch of co-op missions and not really worry too much about taking it seriously. Just a bit of fun.
After tomorrow I've got until Wednesday off, and then next weekend + Monday. I'm in the UK so I'm in GMT.
If you're interested then let me know and I'll start working out how to set up co-op missions. :D

I was thinking to ask you over Steam about coop with DCS or doing a wingman thing on a server, but yeah, IL-2 would be fun too. The break for Japan doesn't really start until around New Years, so I'm free Sunday (26th) & the next Tuesday (28th). Tokyo is I think 8 hours ahead, so it'd be an afternoon-night thing that'd work for me. You can hit me up on Steam to chat about it if you figure out what to do.

Awesome. Sunday sounds fine. I think you're 9 hours ahead, so around 10am for me and 7pm for you okay?
DCS sometime would also be great, but I've always been more of a helicopter person.

Ah, of course. Japan doesn't have daylight savings.
Yeah 10am GMT / 7pm JST is cool for me.
I'm not so familiar with the online side of IL-2, but I imagine it can't be that complicated.
