Awesome, I look forward to seeing what you come up with. Would you mind making them blink blue instead of green? Green's fine too, though.

Oh yes of course. I was just going off nature, it's a pale greenish color. But this is your world so I will make them blue.
What I will end up doing after approval is pass you the BIN file and the texture PNGs, you will have to put it in your gamesys and add animate light to the object to cast light. Did you need the blinking of each firefly to be offset in timing? Or blink in unison?
Edit: Also I assumed you wanted them to be scattered but attached to the inside glass surface? I don't know how to animate them consistently flying inside in 3d.

Offset timing for the blinking would be better I think.
If you can do scattered but attached inside the jar that's fine. What we can do is use that object for the inventory item and then use particle fx for the inside of the jar when it's placed. So basically, we'll need the empty jar and also your one with glowing bits for the inventory item. When the jar is placed, we can just use the empty jar with particle FX for the floating glowy bits.

So just to clarify: On the version with glowing bits, no animation is needed since it will only be used in inventory, and animated textures aren't shown in inventory.

I didn't know if not or so, thank you Yandros, that saves me time then if this is what RT wants. Just glow hot blue textures for static bugs, and then empty.

There are ways around that ... Model tweqs for example

I didn't realize you could do that, it is cool, but probably more trouble than it's worth here. When you make the models yourself it's your own time and commitment, but I don't want to ask gamophyte to make 4 or 5 different models in this case as I don't think it's worth it. R_T may disagree, though.
