Perhaps all of cardia's off-topic posts could be split off to a separate "How I mine for fish?" thread.

There is a world of difference between teaching and learning, unfortunately.
LarryG i have just followed your tuturial and there´s something wrong with the lantern, when i frob it to turn off the lamp picture dissapears, and you only get to read the "lit lamp" but the rest works fine, what am i doing wrong?
what are you guys talking about fishing? i don´t understand nothing about fishing, i never went to the river or the sea for fishing.

There is a saying, Pedro.
It goes like this:
Give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he'll eat for life.
So, in order to save everyone time, it is better to teach someone how to do something so they don't have to constantly rely on others to do everything for them. (After all, the fish giver is likely busy catching fish for himself and his family)
What happens if the fish giver dies and the man doesn't know how to fish? He'll starve.
As to Larry's tutorial, I can confirm that it works properly because I've used it for my latest mission. I'd suggest going through it carefully again.

To continue on Rob's words about the fishing, the point Pedro is that we've pointed you to the threads and Thief resource websites where we all go when we're looking for something, but it seems that you always just come ask here for things you need without ever doing a search here in TEG or on those sites to find what you need. So we're trying to teach you how to fish for Thief resources instead of always just asking for them and hoping someone will point you to them. We're hoping you'll try being more independent.

i know there is a search function, but most of you guys have already the info at hand... and how do i know i will find every time what i´m looking for in the search engine?
I understood in the first place the fish thing.

Ok, well reading that you can understand how we thought you didn't understand.

I wouldn't bet on it.

It is just that if we feel that you aren't even trying to find the answers that already exist in the forum, then we may feel less willing to help. It's one thing when someone has exhausted known resources and then asks for help, and a very different thing when they appear to be too lazy to try and find their own answers first. I'm not saying that is necessarily you, but from what you say and what you ask for, it seems that way.

look guys i just want to bring you a big new project for t2 for you to play it, that´s why i´ve been bothering you alot because i don´t remember working so hard on a mission, and you don´t know how good it is to have all your support here, i know it sacrifices some of your time but its less time consuming for the time spent working on Dromed when i have to search for something and i already have you giving me the right information i seek. But i´ll try to do things on my own from now on and run to your help in just in desperation.

Helping you when you could help yourself is taking us away from work on our own missions. I can't speak for the others who have tried to help you, but frankly I'm more interested in my missions in-work than I am in yours. Sorry. That's just the way it is. We all are willing to help, but we really have our own work to do. So best if you only ask after you have tried on your own for a while before posting. And then say what you tried and failed at so that we can have a better idea where to start with the help.
