You might want to pilfer the blood textures from SS2 (more specifically, from SHTUP).

Dave Gurrea has some very nice ones too, they're in WLB and DP2. Those are TGA but you could convert to GIF if you really had to.

those objects use .tga textures, they are placed in txt16, should work. they probably aren't packed that way, and you are dropping the texture in obj.

I wish there were a a two handed hammer player arm object. The one I know of looks wierd because of its length and because of how Garrett holds it with only one hand. Two hands would be much more convincing, but the motions would have to be right.

Not sure that's possible. At least not without a lot of work. In terms of the skeleton melee weapons only have the one hand, which means you could only do it by somehow butchering and retrofitting the bow skeleton into a melee weapon and constructing new motions. Unless someone knows of a simpler way that I haven't thought of...
