I have to go to Surrey on Saturday, January 20, for a book thing at the Chapters store there and I thought it might be fun to hook up with some of the BC nutz for drinks or something afterward. Anybody interested?

Could you please send a few tons of snow back to Europe?

Via the Midwest, please. I'm ready for a good ole fashioned bli-zzaaaaard.
Damn that global warming thing anyhow.

I'm praying for a warming trend before the 20th, since it's currently 27F here in lovely Seattle (a balmy 54 inside the boat B-fuckin-rrrrr!) Yes, yes... nothing like the Midwest, but I'm not from there!

I loved it when I visited Vancouver BC in 2002. It's interesting and a pretty good size city too. I was told by a local that the weather usually stays pretty temperate (30f - 70f) throughout the year because of where the island is situated. There are lots of public gardens and they are (normally) able to maintain them well over the year without much fear of snow. I'm sure the recent storms and the damage to Stanley Park came as a surprise. Kinda blew a hole in that theory. ;)
