Another electric car with a pitiful 250 mile range. On the plus side it is designed by Lotus, which is always a bonus.
What electric cars should be is a hybrid that regains a portion of the energy lost under braking. Perhaps something like the (

When I see "Tesla", it dredges up all the darkside of electromagnatism you see on those stupid conspiracy sites.
It's all good and well until you realize what electric cars produced on a mass scale are good for: (

David, Max Mosley said that sometime soon that's exactly what F1 regulations will dictate. Makes sense seeing as Honda, Toyota, Renault, BMW and Mercedes-Benz all compete.

I'm waiting for the ultimate hybrid to appear, one that utilizes combustion, electricity and (

steam power. Giving the average boob access to the sort of acceleration you describe makes me shudder, however.

"Emissions: Zero for 4 hours" is a completely bogus figure. The relevant figure is emissions per passenger mile (including any emissions for electricity generatation).

Are you sure you want that? I have an electro-magnetic clutch in my car, that connects instantly when you touch the accelerator. It's extremely annoying when your head tilts back every time you hit the pedal. Electric engines can be very uncomfortable and loud.

Throw in (

I'm no engineer, but that "new" power source sounds like a large parallel capacitor of some sort. It would be nice if it didn't turn out to be another investor scam.

Yeah, sounds alright but the price and the range are definatly downers. Of course, I ride a motorcycle everywhere and only get 100 miles to a fillup and it doesn't bother me. Hell, I took a 1300 mile road trip in 3 days and it didn't bother me that much. People will get used to it.....and people will get stranded:p
