Hi guys, I'm just wondering if anyone here is a pet lover, well if you are like me maybe you can share about your pets on how their welfare is, what they do, their breed or what you do for them. :)

I have a cat who, without fail, will come at 4:30 am to wake me up and let it outside.

I want to go out - open that door if you love me
Gotta go out, want to breathe the air
I gotta get loose with the blue sky above me
I been here long enough, I got to be there
I want to come in - what's the matter, can't you hear me?
I want to come in, I am your cat!
I gotta get warm with the people i love near me
I been gone a long, long time and now I'm back
And now I want to go out - I'm an independent creature
I am a cat - we're the wandering kind!
It's the call of the wild - I gotta get back to nature
These paws are made for walking and now it's time.
OK, I'm back, but not for long I'll soon be going -
Just give me a bite now and I'm on my way
Now open that door and I'll - good grief, it's snowing -
Open up - let me in - I'm back to stay
Well, now it's stopped, so thanks for all your love
Gotta hop that freight, I'm a ramblin' guy
Gotta hit that road - it's in my blood or something' -
I know you understand so please don't cry
Hello it's me - I know you'd probably miss me
And I came back, because I missed you so
But I can't stay long, so honey come and kiss me -
I think I hear that long some whistle blow
I'm on my way, got to leave my mom and daddy -
Got to say goodbye, want to hear that highway hum
Now I'm all alone and I' m feeling so unhappy -
It's time that I went back where I came from
Yes, it's time to go back, time to put the road behind me -
I drifted away, but I'm going back now.
Here's the little white house -
Here' s that picket fence and the ivy -
I'll just knock on the door - meow
Open up, it's me, it's your cat it's cold out here
the water get in higher momma please...

I have three cats. The oldest is eighteen. I know because I named him Eli after Eli Manning when he first came to Ole Miss. He is a noisy and demanding yellow tabby but sweet at times and has a moon eye. He is getting boney in his old age. The next is Spook because he just appears out of the darkness like he was a part of it broken off and coming indoors. He didn't care much for me or anyone really until something chewed him up pretty good. He had been missing days and I found him under the porch one day and nursed him back. Now he only cares for me. The last is Fizzgig, named for the creature from The Dark Crystal, which he resembles when he is yawning. A tabby Maine Coon. I can't help it. Maine Coons are my favorite. My first cat was one and they have such a don't give a shit disposition. They purr loudly and sometimes just from your looking at them.
Last is my rescue dog Jasper. He is a noisy excitable Yorkie. A lot of trouble but funny in the things he does when he is excited like spinning around in circles and running back and forth along the couch over anything or anyone.
One thing they all do which annoys me is suddenly look up when the shadow passes in the hall. Doesn't happen very often. I'll be sitting at my computer with a view down the hall and one of them on my lap when I catch a glimpse out of the corner of my eye of a shadow quickly crossing between the bathroom and a bedroom. They suddenly sit up and look that way. Probably the only thing Jasper never barks at. They all stare though. Yeah buddy, I see it too. Ain't nothing.
Nice dogs jkcerda.

I've had a number of pets in the past -- three dogs, four cats, two hamsters, a few rabbits. Not anymore, though. The city is not really a place for a pet and I'm way too busy to properly care for them these days.

I had seven cats until a few months ago. I had to take off four of them because seven is four too many. Their names are Two-Toes, a female stray and General Lee, a gift from my buddy. They had 2 kittens, General Jackson, Colonel Coffee. Later Two-Toes got pregnant again with Toes-Too, Captain Solo and Sergent Biscuits.
The three I kept are Coffee, Solo, and Biscuits because they're the cutest. Two-Toes actually came back... twice. The second time she traveled over 15 miles to make it back. Jackson only came back once.

Opps, double posted the same thing twice when I was editing the above then decided it was fine and tried to cancel the edit... How'd that happen? I guess a mod can delete this post if they want.

I have a 6 & 1/2 yr. old male Newfoundland, Alexander, a 21 year old Bengal kitty, Skye, and a 2 yr. old long-haired black cat, Mr. Scruffers (no, I didn't name him and that's all he answers to).
My dog Xander is a sweet, stubborn, gentle giant (150 lbs. - he was the runt of the litter) who thinks he's a Chihuahua and is my registered ESA, though the only store I've ever taken him to was Petco because of his size (he accidentally knocks things and people over sometimes) and penchant for licking the faces of little kids (who are sometimes terrified by his size). But he's a great watchdog and friend!

My 21 year old cat Skye (aka Mama Kitty) is half Siamese and half bobcat and you can hear the bobcat in her voice when she meows; if she's pissed off about something it comes out sounding like more of a screech. She also has tufted ears and an attitude that, even at 21 yrs., makes my big Newfie take a couple steps backwards. Lol!

My black male Mr. Scruffers (aka Scruffy) is somewhat of a scat-cat. He doesn't like my dog who is far too rough with him, so he spends a lot of time on the other side of the gate in the kitchen doorway. I figure it's going to take a few more years for the two to get used to each other because whenever Scruffy sees Xander, Xander barks and sends Scruffy high-tailing it upstairs. Scruffers comes down the minute he hears me let Xander outside and then sits in the dining room window so he can keep an eye on what Xander's doing. Scruffy is a love, though, if somewhat rough; but male cats usually do get fierce with their love nippers!
