The wonderful actor Sir John Hurt has (http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/john-hurt-dead-elephant-man-809521) died at the age of 77.

Oscar nominated for The Elephant Man and Midnight Express, but quite possibly best known for THAT scene in Alien.

First time I saw him was in the TV-series "(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I,_Claudius_%28TV_series%29) I Claudius". Hurt played the fabulous role of Caligula. I was too young to know the names of actors. Or care about details like that. Actually I was too young to watch that series at all. :) If you wanna watch something good, a tv-series, and have never seen I Claudius, I can recommend it very much. I bought the series on DVD for a few euros a few years ago. When I was young, I probably didn't understand half of what was going on. Go watch it ! (It also has Derek Jacobi, Brian Blessed, and even Captain Pickard !).

I think the first time I recognized him in another movie was in "(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Hit_%281984_film%29) The Hit". Small movie that nobody mentioned. I loved it. Even though it isn't anything special, it's very well made movie. Go download it and watch it. (I doubt you can watch it in a legal way anywhere online). Stephen Frears, John Hurt, Terence Stamp, Laura del Sol and Tim Roth. Can't go wrong there.

I'm gonna watch a John Hurt movie tonight. Probably The Hit. :)
