Well? I've considered the Templar style [no biomods] but is there a workaround the biomod installation requirement at the tarsus labs? I know it's just easy to just "not use it" but I don't want it there at all.

I'm not sure if you can avoid Nassif's mods. But "mod-free" style seems like a bust already to me since you technically already have a few (InfoLink, Light Aug). But, yeah. There are many playing styles. Lately I've heard of a melee-weapon only gaming style taking this forum by storm. I've haven't tried it for DX since it seems suicidal to me.

Well when I played I used pistol and energy blade, they kick arse. Not only are they extremely effective, but I thought they were a lot of fun some times (as opposed to being purely business). You need strength biomods for the sword to be any good, which gives you the added advantage of using nearby objects to take someones health down about 70%. Using speed biomods also means you can dart through a room cutting them down. Sometimes you literally go through a room and out the other side, have the survivors chase you, and repeat. Speed works wonders for splitting groups up. Also because it reduces fall damage and gives you big jumps, you can drop into a room from high above and then get to work, or jump out of a room to split up groups. Using smoke bombs basically makes you invincible with all of this. This is basically a ninja play style.
As for the pistol, I used extra damage and refire rate mods and went for headshots. 2 always put them down. It was much more effective than machine gun and shotgun, but you must hit their head.
Melee only would be pretty hard seeing as some guys explode when they die, so you would probably need cloaking and stealth mods to just bypass them. I'm assuming you're not allowed to use bot domination with that.
Damn now I wanna try it. Total Ninja style.

Yeah, don't. That's a good style of play for DX2. :nono:

Are you approving or disapproving? Looks like it's both
and neither. :p

it really depends on the limits you set on your self what counts melee and what doesn't. when i played through all melee i used electrostatic and the strength buff augs and that took care of everything with ease. power armor templars are something of a pain but with run silent mod and electrostatic discharge you can turn bots to your side as well as turrets and just let them kill them and its hard not to consider that melee considering you have to hit the bot or turret first. the ones that don't have a convient bot around can be avoided fairly easily.
