Well, if you are at the part in the game where you are able to go to Mournhold {This is assuming you have the game of the year edtion} most of the shop keepers have vast sums of money, I THINK there's a merchant with up to 15,000 gold, but, I can't really remember...worse comes to worst, you may have to just lower your price down to how much total money the merchant has normally {You know what I mean, how much money he starts off with...}. If you don't have the game of the year edition, the richest merchant I am aware of is the talking mud crab, who has a total of 10,000 gold.

Talking mudcrab...talking mudcrab.....erg...I can't remember........its been so long since I last played {I'm currently playing oblivion, but I'l probably go back to Morrowind eventually} ....maybe Ryushiblade or Striker knows or even Forsythe{If he is still alive that is...}..at least I think they do......all I remember is that the mud crab isn't to far off from an ancient Dwemer fort of some sort....

He's on a tiny little island near Mzahnch. Don't remember exactly which one.
If you're desperate there's any number of mods out there that bump up the amount of gold that merchants have, and it's pretty easy to DIY with the Construction Set if you've got a particular merchant in mind.

Theres always the Creeper in Gahrock Manor in coldera. He buys items for full price if they are in full condition.
Gorgonseye on 30/9/2006 at 18:23
Yea, but he only has 5000 gold, so if the item is worth more then that, your out of luck, and Doug stated he needs to sell things worth 10,000 gold or more, you'd lose a lot of money selling something worth 10,000 gold or more to the creeper.

The Creeper has no disposition so he will always buy items for their exact worth. You can then sell a 5k item to him twice--waiting for 24 hours inbetween--and then sell him a 20k item. By buying back the two 5k items in the same transaction, you get a net profit of 10k while still retaining two items worth 10k.
So basically, you don't lose any money at all.
