I was wondering if anyone had ever done a flashlight for SS2. Either a working object\implant\weapon or just an "activate flashlight" button. The closest I have seen from my browsing so far has been a glowing effect attached to the laser rapier in Straylight's mod. Indeed I might try to make that glowing stronger and call it a day.
The reason for this is that I tried playing with the lowest possible gamma, which makes them game extremely moody but also annoying at times.

No, as far as I know no such mode has ever been made. Probably because there aren't many places in the game where a flashlight would be necessary (unless, of course, someone decides to play it with the lowest possible gamma).

I was so hoping of changing that laser rapier light setting myself, but my DromEd crashes with an Assertion Failed error if I try opening the gamesys in Straylight's mod. :tsktsk:

See what? The glowing laser rapier?
SS1 has a lantern implant, so the CCP team was attempting to recreate it. I'm not sure how well we got it to work, though.
