I'm an old man, what can I say?

How's that for an international session: we had people from Finland, Holland, the UK, Switzerland and Australia getting shot up in Takistan. Thanks to everyone who joined in, even if none of the missions were victorious. Well, one of them would've been, but the game didn't correctly register the base being blown up (together with henke and PigLick). In my books, we won.
Next week'll be GTA Online again, and then we'll probably have another Arma session in two weeks' time. Till then!

Was a good time, even though I had no idea what the hell was going on! Well, mostly

In honour of the recent
Red Dead Redemption reveal, let's meet up in Los Santos, head up north to the more desert-like parts and run around while making clippity-clop sounds. Who's in?
Date: Saturday, 22 October
Time: 4-6pm UK time
Game: GTA VThings to note:
* I'll start an invite-only session. If you're not (
https://socialclub.rockstargames.com/member/thirith) a friend on the Rockstar Social Club and/or part of the (
https://socialclub.rockstargames.com/crew/thruthelookingglass) ThruTheLookingGlass crew, I can't invite you.
* Anyone who's joined the session can invite others. Feel free to bring friends and people from other crews! The more people there are, the more game modes are possible and fun.
* If I see anyone from my friends list joining, I'll drop them an invite. If I don't, (
http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197971118958/) send me a message - ideally via Steam, since the R*SC message system is shit.
* Ideally bring a headset! Note that depending on your settings you might only hear voice chat from friends and crew members. Especially if others join, you may want to change your settings temporarily.
I'll be online a bit before 4pm to see if any of the (
http://steamcommunity.com/groups/ArmaTTLG) Steam TTLG group members are around. Hoping to see you there!

Thanks to henke & Malf for a fun session. For a change we also ended up playing some of the new(ish) adversarial modes, and with four people (we had a silent random person join us) they're pretty cool and make for a nice change. Also, even after 1 1/2 years I still find Los Santos breathtakingly beautiful at times. Very much looking forward to whatever world Rockstar'll bring us next.
Up next week: Arma 2. Already got some ideas for missions we could play...

A tale of helicopters and shipping containers, from last night's session.

Don't tell me henke used the take where I ended up running under his wheels three times!
Anyway, it was a great session, and I always enjoy watching henke's video on a big TV - even if I don't always come away looking great. :cheeky:

And it's time to schedule the next session. Bring your Cold War lunchboxes!
Date: Saturday, 29 October
Time: 4-6pm UK time
Game: Arma 2/Operation Arrowhead
Things to note:
* Bring a headset! We are using Teamspeak 3 to communicate in the game.
* While we're not using any compulsory mods, client-side quality-of-life mods like sthud are allowed.
* Anyone's welcome to join, absolute beginners as well as old hands. Since Arma is a bit fickle, perhaps check out the instructions on the Steam group first or send me a PM.
I'll be online a bit before 4pm to set up the server and check who's on Steam. Hoping to see you there!

Welp, for what is worth, ol'ducky-poo is back on Steam with a new sexy rig, ready for some co-op action! Though I live on the other side of the pond in Mapletown (i.e. Canada). But Hell, if I was able to play and finish a game in co-op with bob_doe_nz and Sulphur (3 different time-zones), I think we can manage. Woooooo! :D
