That is indeed a very good deal. If Arma3's controls are slightly less of a gonzo finger Twister simulator than its predecessors', I'd be inclined to explore with you chaps if/when you get around to it.

How much is Arma 3 usually when it goes on sale? Considering that bundle just for Arma 3, though I own most of the other stuff in it.

Your character feels way smoother to control, but it gets a little bit more complex because of the new stuff added. You can switch stances in all directions, so like - stepping left on top of also leaning left, and leaning left while prone, etc. There's a tactical pace which is half way between walking and running. There's weapon resting, so no more wobbly aim after running - just 'attach' your rifle to a low wall and pivot around it with low recoil.
Perfectly fine to just ignore all of that though, if it's too much to think about.

Well, sheit, in that case: bought!

In that case, if our next Arma date is Saturday 11 March, should we use that to get to know Arma 3 and its very own selection of idiosyncratic bugs?
One of the advantages of A3, at least on Steam, is its inclusion in the Workshop, which makes installing mods a lot easier. I still wouldn't want to go for a mod-heavy setup, but it's worth installing a couple of them (like sthud, which I find pretty much essential). I'll write a post closer to the session with some suggestions.

I would be keen for Arma 3 too (if i can stay awake lol), havent played it for a while. Although I am not sure it is as forgiving as arma2 pingwise.

Neb, quick question for you, since you know Arma 3 much better than any of us: do you know any good coop missions or mission packs for small groups (4-8 people, none of them A3 pros) that don't require much in the way of mods? There's a lot on the Steam Workshop, but few of them have been rated.
