Suspenders? What are you, an antebellum lawyer wannabe or something? Comeon. Everyone knows the height of Linux fashion is the neckbeard and that totally rad silk screen dragon shirt you picked up at the 'con three years ago.

Would a 'There's no place like 127.0.0.1' T-shirt qualify at a pinch?

Nah. That almost comes off as cool, in a self aware geek chic sorta way. If there's any one thing Linux geeks aren't, it's cool.

Bear in mind the difference between Smart Security and the plain old antivirus if you do end up going for NOD32. Looks like ten to fifteen quid's difference for the extra malware stuff and the soft firewall functionality, which may or may not be worth it depending on what you are after

Eh, it'd only be a tenner, not too much extra damage.

I hear the rant against Norton, however it is what I use and with a decent machine I haven't had any problems. They seem to have fixed the bloat that ate all of the machine resources a couple of years ago. My older machine gets eaten by Norton, but the newer ones do just fine.

Common sense and NOD32 as backup for those rare cases of impossible-to-predict malware ambushes should be a good combination.
I just wish anti-virus software remained consistent with its advertised functionality and quarantined and deleted Hewlett-Packard's shitware off my laptop.
