So excuse me if I dismiss you, but I'm quite confident that you're out of your depth, as usual. I can plainly tell by the way you're throwing around the term and attempting to link it that you don't even understand the true extent of what "insider trading" actually is. It's like someone coming along to the middle of a discussion of the offsides rule and asking about the balk rule. Sure, they're both sports violations, but that's really all they have in common.
You've wandered onto my turf, leave this one be. You'd be wise to trust I can recognize that you're simply yammering to hear yourself speaksee yourself type. Even your revised question is so broad as to be trite and meaningless, and based on your limited understanding of the subject matter, you wouldn't comprehend my answer unless I laid it out in rudimentary baby steps that would take me hours to write. If I had any respect for your intellectual abilities, I may have attempted that, but I don't, so I'm not going to bother.

Actually, I was mimicking the look of a legal blackline under deltaview, in which words that are deleted are struck through and are colored red, and the words that replace them are underlined and colored (usually) blue. I substituted green for the blue because in the past people have been confused and thought it was a hyperlink, and under deltaview (or similar document comparison software - such as Word's "Track changes" feature), when revisions are made by multiple people, their additions are usually color coordinated and green is often used for a second or third editor.

I think it's not so much people who know less than him as it is people who say stupid shit. Having said that, while CCCToad's half-hearted attempts at retaliatory strikes are pathetic--not even he believes his digs against RBJ's intelligence, so why even post them?--for the most part his ignorance on these matters seems fairly benign, at least, and not entirely deserving of INTERNET ONSLAUGHT. I don't use the word "ignorance" negatively, either, as I recognize myself as not particularly knowledgeable on all this.
I'm guessing that a year of uninformed people weighing in on a subject they don't really understand has taken its toll on RBJ's patience, too.
Also, on the topic of Matt Taibbi: my mom fucking loves him and his articles and it drives me crazy. Rolling Stone's attempts at serious journalism tend to cover things worth covering but then wreck it all by overreaching terribly. As a liberal I can't help but wince as each piece unfolds, mouthing "stop...no, stop. STOP. BACK THERE."

Oh great, I have the three headed tard brigade on my jock now.
I was happy to restrain myself while weighing in on the original topic, and discuss things with grip in a simple fashion. I was even happy to provide a sense of the informed reaction to Taibbi from the finance world for Toad. But honestly, you've all seen CCCToad as he's suddenly decided to pop-in for the past couple of weeks and fag up most every thread he touches. I'm not dealing with this question in a vacuum. I have a sense of his abilities, and I find them lacking.
So while I may entertain his idiocy on matters involving something such as healthcare - where he is basing his opposition on not merely faulty facts and data, but ideology, which is excusable only so much as it is insurmountable - I am not going to humor him when he starts blabbering about things about which he knows nothing. If he wants to talk about Taibbi, and his article, fine, yammer away, I've said my piece. But trying to build unrelated tangents off of that is exactly the kind of ignorance that should simply be quashed before it starts. You're welcome.
So Kolya, while I know that the poorly-thought-out, drive-by snark is your stock-in-trade, in this case, you can kindly fucking stuff it. Go back down your little troll-hole.

Face it RBJ, you were acting like a tool in this thread. And whether you think CCToad elsewhere "fags up most every thread he touches" doesn't justify that.
