Has anyone figured out a way of grabbing the items off of the water pipes in the sewers under Hell's kitchen? They are the ones under the rotating bridge. Everytime I try, I end up in the sludge at the bottom, and lose both my legs. I can't even land on the pipes. Thanks.

One of the sidetunnels has a ladder that's going down all the way. Descend this one and jump from box to crate until you get the goodies.

That seems easier said than done... But I'll give it a shot. Should work for the crates and such floating at the bottom, but what about the pipes that are halfway up the sides of the pit? Those are the items that I'm most interested in getting. I've tried falling on to them, but each time I end up taking a swim. Thanks for your help.

The way to do it is land on the pipes. Its tricky but CAN be done. You land on one and pick up the goods, and then land on the other. Regeneration is kinda useful but not required. Don't use fast run because i almost guarentee you'll overshoot. Other than that just make sure you save and "If at first you don't succeed, Try Try Again"

I suppose that if you play a game, you'd have enough time to look for some extras, too.
It's hardly like: Oh, I can only play DX, but I can't do more than that because I don't have time!
I for one don't get many extras simply because I get tired of looking and/or trying :-)

Getting the first one is relatively easy - all you need to do is descend the ladder near said item (Accuracy Mod IIRC), enter the water, position a rubbish bag nearby, and use it as some sort of stepping stone to get onto the big crate near the pipe. Jump from crate to pipe, and voila!
Admittedly, this only works for this pipe - you still have to jump off to get the Bioelectric Cell. But it's better than breaking your legs, no? :)
I've also noticed that if you jump off into the water from the top of the big ol' pit thingy, the game seems to forget that the water is toxic - making your job much easier.
