Have been playing for some time, am getting nicely involved in plot.

Just recently, however, characters do not respond to me appropriately -- as if I were invisible or had residual chameleon going

For example, when I talk to other characters I often get the "Who's there?" message several times, unless I am right in front of them. When I walk by people, they no longer say things like "outlander scum" etc.

I have not cheated -- security in low 20's, no residual effects shown on my screen that would indicate invisibility or chameleon. No "sneak" icon showing, although it's almost as though I am sneaking everywhere!

Have tried reloading, but to same savegame. I want to avoid going back to an older savegame -- any ideas? Console stuff??

When I attack things, they run around looking for me

What is active may be a spoiler for some folks, suffice to say I have some resistances that have not changed recently.

Seems to have started after I fought a tough char, but I didn't use chameleon or invis in that battle.

Character is a spellsword -- really freekin fun to play, BTW

1) what mods do you have active... some may be bugged or something that could cause this...

2) do you talk to npc's when they are only half visable, like just around a corner, or on the other side of a pillar, that will usually bring up the who's there dialouge.

3) when creatures try to attack you, are you standing on a rock or something that would put you out of reach of the creature

4) which spells and constant effects you have active couldn't be considered spoilers, since it doesn't necessarily help anyone. So you can just list all the constant effects and spells you have active, it might help.
