Two bombs had just blasted this morning in Jakarta - indonesia, the first bomb blasted exactly in the JW-Marriott hotel's resto - forgot teh name at 7.41 a.m The second blast occur ten minutes later at Ritz-Carlton hotel which located right in front of Marriott also at the hotel's resto.
I was just arrived at the Marriott's to meet some partners when it blew, damn. Moments after the blast people ran out of the building, some of my partner who were already there got injured_face all bloody. Luckily I didn't get any scratch, just.. expelled, confused and shocked, damn..
Few taxi just showed up before the building minutes later, i decided to bring my injured associates to the nearest hospital, that'll be MMC hospital at Kuningan.
I decided not to go to office today, i still got this headache :(

Jeez, you were AT THE HOTEL when it went off?
Glad you're okay.
Fuck, can't even begin to imagine what it must have been like.

yes I was there. I was just arrived at the hotel, saw my partners within the lobby, they saw me & wave hands. Just as I was about to enter the lobby, an awful blast and shocking wave expelled me back to the entrance. I had this paused & confusing moment as I was still sit on the ground, tried to realize what the heck just happened.
I got this temporary deaf for a few minutes, but still I can hear the second blast not far from where the first blast. shocked again!
First thing i did was checking myself for injuries - which I didn't get any. Then I woke up and saw my partners were lying on the ground, reach them and try to raise them and walk him out of there. Rizal, one of my partner look pretty bad - face all bloody, saying "what the f**k just happen??" other partners were injured too but still able to walk out of the lobby.
Few taxi fled the location, but some did stopped-by trying to help people around the blast area. I brought my friend to one of the cab, accompany him to the nearest hospital. On the way to the hospital, the cab driver told us that a blast also happened at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, killing several people too. That was the second blast i heard when the first stroked us.
When I arrived at the MMC Hospital, everybody were at rush. We saw few folks entered the hospital - still bloody, some on the stretcher. It was a terrible sight :(.
Whoever did these cowardly action, are no good S.O.B
Wife called me thru cellphone asking in panic - half crying, "where are you, are you OK?!?" I explained her that I'm just fine. I made call to inform Rizal's family, relatives, and co-workers. I ask the doctor in charge, they said we'll handle things from here.
Our scheduled meeting had to cancelled for good, say next week. It doesn't matter, still I had this headache :(

Goddammit man, that must have been horrifying. Who knows what would have happened to you if you'd been there ten seconds earlier.

I'm glad you and your friends are alright, nurcahyono. I can't imagine going through something like that. How very horrible; words just cannot express!! I sincerely hope you feel better soon. And that the authorities catch whoever was responsible.
I'd say you've more than earned a couple days off.

I just read the news about the bombing, what a horrible thing. I'm glad you got out of it alive.

Heard about this on the radio this morning. I'm sorry for your partners and everyone else who was hurt. It is truly awful. I imagine Jamaal Islamiya is behind this and look forward to the day we eradicate these bastards.

That's hardcore. I saw the World Trade Center go down on 9/11, but from over 20 blocks away. It's another thing to be right next to a building and it explode so surprisingly, and knowing people inside.
I appreciate you telling us about it. I had a very close friend staying in Jakarta recently and I believe it was one of these hotels; so it really makes me think about how close these things can be to my own life.

I thank you all guys for all the attention :)
Some said it was Jamaah Islamiyah or whatever they are. But one thing is for sure, THEY WILL PAY for this savage act. Damn, after all this year of no worrying of these guys :(
Yesterday was close call, I thank God for sparing my life
Well, yesterday I said that I didn't get any scratch..
When I woke up this midnight to drink a water & go to john, i feel my back kinda hurt, and feels real hurt when i touch it.
Being curious, I take a look at a mirror and woow.. a quite large bruise mark. probably when i fell off the lobby's stair.
But then again i feel grateful that it's just a bruise, not an open wound or..something else worst.
I really need vacation, and a massage :cheeky:

Jesus, thank god you're okay. That's a hell of a thing to experience.
