There's also one in a replicator in the mall (top floor, IIRC); I don't believe you have to hack that replicator to get at it.
Actually, scratch that last part. It is on the second floor, but you do have to hack the replicator. My bad.

You know that cap that flies off of turrets when you destroy them? Make it a consumable to the current corpse so you can fix it using the repair skill.
Isn't that how it works in SecMod?

I've come to the conclusion that the Recyler is more trouble than it's worth (thinking of the amount of time I've spent reorganising my inventory and recycling stuff...), but in any case, isn't there one in the replicator opposite the armoury in Ops? You need to hack (or ICE pick) it first, though. And that's assuming Straylight didn't (re)move it.
I always get the Recycler from there, and then I go to the MedSci chemical storage and start recycling the huge pile of junk I collected up to that point.

Haven't played using that. I only started up again after some recent lurking. I did read about it from the (

Ok. The idea of using the metal top? TF's all the way. ...but you can only use an Auto Repair Unit. If you could use the repair skill, that would definitely increase its use.
And on a separate note, anyone else notice that security droids have prisms for loot and that assualt droids have portable batteries?
Bjossi on 9/1/2007 at 11:43
I have never gotten a port. battery from those, but I do remember one of the security bot "species" carry Iridium, although I barely ever get those.

Most droids have loot of some sort - I always search them.
Maintenance droids usually have disposable maintenance tools on them, and sometimes rad hypos.
To be more precise:
Maintenance Droid:
Two picks from the following list:
* Maintenance Tool: 30% chance
* Rad Hypo: 10% chance
* 20 Nanites: 50% chance
* Nothing: 10% chance
Security Droid:
Two picks from the following list:
* 10 prisms: 15% chance
* Iridium: 5% chance
* Nothing: 80% chance
Assault Droid:
Two picks from the following list:
* 10 prisms: 15% chance
* Portable Battery: 30% chance
* Nothing: 55% chance
(Lists are from v1.0 of ADoaB, which I happen to have installed at the moment - values may have changed slightly in v2.2.)

RISE FROM YOUR GRAVE
just started a runthrough with this mod (finally found the time) and... is it just me or does medsci1 have some lighting issues? sometimes it looks fine, sometimes it looks like shit. working on the game now, will let you know if i see it in later levels.
Bjossi on 5/3/2007 at 17:20
What do you mean by lighting issues? Is it unusually dark at times or just looks plain bad?
Nameless Voice on 5/3/2007 at 20:51
Did Straylight forget to set ObjCast before relighting the mission?
Could you show us some screenshots?
