personally, i think the rest of the game could and should be spruced up like that. however, the unbalances hitorque's mod imposes on medsci1 are atrocious. i had like 88 CMs by the first upgrade stations. and while i like the weapon racks in the security office, they should be empty. after all, a full-scale war has been going on for a week beforehand, right? if the shotguns weren't snatched up by security, they would've been snatched up by the hybrids.
also, i noticed that lighting and shadows were kind of off in hitorque's mod, much like they were in straylight's.

If you could be more specific, I as an amateur DromEder would appreciate it.

Oh, THAT. Just open up the missions and rerun the lighting.

here's no shocked installation. i'm already all the way up to ops by now anyway (one deck per night... i really should stop watching prime time TV, free up some post-sundown time.) maybe next time. or after i finish the game, i'll go ahead and rerun the lighting, and upload the results.

Sorry I had to disappear again, but I didn't have a choice this time. I went offline shortly after uploading that last update to try a new backup system with my new DVD+-RW burner, and do some major upgrades to my Linux system. I only backed up the Linux drives because I wasn't doing anything with the Windows drive and I don't keep much there of any value anyway, since I only use Windows as a gaming platform. I was almost done with all that, but I guess that drive felt neglected or something, because it completely shorted out in the middle of a 100GB transfer from a spare drive to the Linux RAID arrays, which apparently confused the IDE bus into scrambling everything so thoroughly I had to start over from a fresh install and throw out the inert lump of metal that used to be my Windows drive.
I only planned to be offline for a week for backups and upgrades. I was offline for over a month after that, putting everything back together.
I have a new Windows drive now and fresh new installations of both Linux and Windows, and System Shock, but the new version of Linux I installed still has some kinks to work out before I can get back up to speed at work. I'm still over a month behind on the work I'm supposed to be getting paid for, so I'll be catching up on that for a while.
I did manage to take a look at the pink water before everything went to Hell, and it's pink for me, too. I have no idea why. I didn't change it on purpose, and I'm not aware of anything I did change that would have that effect, so I really don't know offhand how to change it back. Relighting the levels might do it, if the water color settings are correct, but relighting them is most likely what caused the problem in the first place, and I never changed any water color settings.
I'll download the mod myself and take another look at it when I get a chance, but right now I don't know when that might be.

I want to try out the ADAOB mod but this pink water buisness is a little off-putting. Does this happen to 100% of everyone that uses the mod? Are there any other major bugs with the mod that cause it to be problematic to a SS2 playthrough?
EDIT: Couple things, first, does anyone have a screenshot of how pink the water is? Also, is work still actively being done on ADAOB to make it more complete?

I'm mostly interested if all the unbreakable weapons will be fixed?
Enchantermon on 10/5/2006 at 11:59
If they're not fixed in the current version (I think they are) then they will be. That was one of the things on Straylight's original to-do list.
