the only thing that thief 3 got flak for was wonky movement, and maybe some of the wonky a.i.,and the loading zones :P,otherwise everything else was epic
i own thief 3 original copy to this day

I believe T3 was initially released for console use only (you had to go to a shop and buy a disc, OMG how retro) so you needed to use a controller and the movements were totally fine, the problem with the wonky controls only started to show when it was later released for digital download, but if you use a controller with your comp you'll find the wonkiness disappears almost entirely. I never play T3 without one, almost impossible.

Thief 3 was released for both console and PC at the same time. I bought it as soon as it came out.

Yeah, the problem is that they had to cater to the XBox much to the detriment of the PC version, in many ways.

I am not a Dromed wizard.
I am a "muggle" thief who eagerly awaits the magic and sorcery of those who are.
And I wait with keen anticipation. . .
May Karras and The Builder bless those who fulfill our kleptocratic needs.

Hello there, this contest is a wonderful idea, for sure it will give birth to some good missions and original contents. Pretty fond of this concept. :cheeky:
So I was thinking, i’m not really skilled in programming and coding, and it will be for sure a big « stop » for me if i would like to contribute to all this great fanmission content… but I have some levels in drawing and making logotypes.
So, if anyone need something like a map, posters, book illustrations or even pictures to make cutscenes (to introduce missions…), it would be a pleasure to team up !
:)

So we're already at the half way point. How's everybody doing? Just wondering who's working on something atm. Feel free to share some screens if you have something in the works.

I can't wait to see what you guys come up with! Hopefully I can add something to my texture thread soon for those still working on entries.
(And throwing out a suggestion here: we all can agree Thief 4 missed the mark by a wide margin, but I'd love to see someone gut a level from that game and recreate it in NewDark. Absolutely take a hammer to its canon and rewrite, remake, and redo everything to be a level that it should be for a Thief game. Some of you guys deserve to be on dev teams for these kinds of games, and what better way to show how it's done?)
