The Thief world is definitely a better place because of you FenPhoenix (sorry if that makes you blush!)

Added, thanks.

Want to add TDM in to your loader, would you have any misgivings to this? That or make a new launcher based on the source but directed at TDM....

By the way (and referring to one of Fen's posts on the TDM forums), using .RTF (instead of ASCII text) for mission info files has another advantage: One can use more than 256 characters for writing a text, which allows to use, for example, western and cyrillic character sets (=text fonts) in the same file, and then edit fm.ini so that modern loaders may first display that info file covering all languages. No matter where the player lives in the world, he/she can scroll around for the preferred language in that file. Single-language versions of the info files, if present, may then be selected by the player as well. But if the player doesn't know how to do that, he/she will first be directed to something that can be read without having to know how to change the displayed info file.

You can use all characters in plain text too, just make sure your text editor is set to UTF-8 for the file.

HELP! I'm an idiot. :(
I decided to take the step of installing angelloader and running my FMs, but I can't figure it out. Even the online manual didn't make much sense to me. So now when I open up angelloader to the main page, pretty much all the functions are grayed out and none of my FMs are listed.
In the initial setup window under the required other backup path section, I wasn't really sure what to put, so I just used the pathway to the folder where I keep all my FMs. I noticed that in the setup the folder looked empty. The "FM Archive Paths" section was also blank and it didn't look like I could have added anything to it.
Can anyone help? I would try uninstalling and reinstalling it again, but angelloader doesn't even show up in my computer's programs/applications list. (I'm using a Windows 10 desktop)

Hi,
Let me give you a small manual on how AngelLoader works:
- AngelLoader doesn't require any classic installation, by running some .msi or .exe files. You just need to create folder (for example: AngelLoader_1_6_8) and unpack the content of archive from the 1st port.
- Inside folder with AngelLoader create 2 folders: FM_Missions (where you will put downloaded FMs files. Do NOT unpack any of FM files, just leave them AS IS here) and FM_Backups (this folder will be used to store save files for each played FM).
- Run AngelLoader.exe file. You will be prompted to provide required configuration: provide path to your Thief exe file, Backup path should be pointed to FM_Backups folder and FM archive paths to FM_Missions folder. Click OK and you are ready to download FMs.
- Close program and put FMs into FM_Missions folder.
- Open program, scan will be automatically performed and you should see FM in the list. Select, install, play.
@FenPhoenix, Thank You very much for creating such simple, but powerfull application.

Thanks, that makes a lot more sense! I'm afraid there's a new problem, though. I've got my list of FMs showing up on the main Angelloader page now, but when I try to install or run one I get an error message saying "Game executable file not specified or not found. Unable to install FM." Any idea what to do in this case?
