The original Dawn of the Dead and all the other classic black and white zombie movies were hilarious though. They were just so poor. Quite how it managed an 18 rating, it would probably be a PG nowadays.

Those were 28 Days-style zombies (i.e.; fast-moving).
The actual sequal to Dawn of the Dead and Day of the Dead, Land of the Dead, had "real" (George Romero-style) zombies (i.e.; slow-moving).
