I've noticed a strange thing during reading TTLG forums. There is a post from a user, but it is empty. What is it? Something like, Vasya was here, he read the thread, everyone can rest in peace or its a vBulletin system bug?

AHA
I finally got the reference.
Although we say "Kilroy was here"
No, the blank post probably means that the person left it deliberately blank on account of not having anything to say, but feeling it was necessary to demonstrate that they had nothing to say. Which is usually considered spam.
Or it could be that they set the font colour to #f7f7f7 or #d7d7e9 in order to blend it in with the post background and thereby hide the words for some arcane (and likely malevolent) reason.
I would set the hounds on it, but they've just been washed.

They sound like pretty sissy hounds if they take part in such girlie activities as WASHING

It could also be that the person hotlinked to an image that doesn't show up, I guess.

You can't post nothingness. You can however post <!-- -->, which looks quite the same. Also, someone should fix that HTML tag, as not terminating it propperly messes up the alignment of the nearby posts.
