I just find it entertaining that people think it's something that one can intentionally invoke somehow, as opposed to simply being an observation that all conversations online will eventually have a reference to Nazis.
I just find it entertaining that you sunk to what could be regarded as the lowest level of online discussion and aren't man enough to admit it. Instead, you're trying to rationalise yourself out of the hole you dug.
I mean, to compare tagging a stupid game to belittling the murder of 6 million people... :tsktsk:
And some of you people have the nerve to call
my posts crazy.

Are you joking here or do you really think that Jason wasn't just pointing out a simple logic failure?

If I were from loonland I would probably make a post about nazis and be all LOLOLOLOLOL GODWIN'S LAW LOLOLOLOL THE THREAD ENDS HERE LOLOLOLOL I DON'T KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT LOLOLOL so that's the immediate assumption someone from loonland is going to make. A reasonable person would realize I just chose the Holocaust at random, without really considering some idiotic conversational law of the internet that I don't fap about all day long, and that you could easily swap the word "Holocaust" out for basically any other wikipedia entry whose content most reasonable people would universally agree on but passionately ignorant people would be likely to vandalize. The important thing here is that I was comparing the goon show who would vandalize a wikipedia entry to make some misguided political statement to the idiots who would add derogatory tags to a game they've never played on Steam or give 1 star ratings to say, Spore, on Amazon.com because they're some Johnny Appleseed spreading the seeds of social change, a crusading white knight vanquishing the evil of videogames their friends don't like.
Oh dear, I seem to have inadvertently become the first person in this thread to use the term "white knight" in a way that makes sense.

Logical failure? HAH!
He tried to back up his (obviously false, as Jason himself suggested) assessment that the negative Steam tags are the result of online vandalism. This he tried to back up by drawing one of the most harebrained comparisons I've ever read online.
Now,
that is a logical failure. On multiple levels. If you can't / don't want to see that, you're letting bias cloud your judgement.
While we're on the topic of logical fallacies, I'll have to bring up that little gem Goldmoon Dawn (Thanks, GD, but you needn't have bothered!) reposted:

If
multiple people are telling you your conclusion is completely insane, that
means something, and it's not that they're all being mean to you.
The implication of course being that multiple people must be right. Let's apply the same "logic" to your situation:
If multiple people are telling you the game you keep defending will suck, that means something, and it's not that they're all being mean to you.
Are you willing to give
those multiple people the benefit of the doubt?

THE THREAD ENDS HERE
Unfortunately, it didn't. It totally should have. Still, one has to appreciate the gusto you put into making yourself sound unbelievably dumb.

Unfortunately, it didn't. It totally should have. Would have spared everyone your latest display of immature idiocy.
Immature idiocy is making an issue out of something that's not.
He didn't compare Steam tag vandalism to the holocaust. He compared them to someone randomly editing a wikipedia article on the Holocaust. All it takes is the tiniest bit of reading comprehension to see the goddamn difference.

Thanks, Renz, I thought that's what he was saying, but I'm not always the sharpest tool in the box.

Serious question: What exactly urges you to attribute claims to me that I didn't make? Do you even bother to read my posts? Are the claims I DO make not outlandish enough for you? Or is it really
that hard for you to understand?
