I was browsing this list and look what caught my eye:
I'm fairly certain this is a posting by an official xbox representative (I don't frequent the forum, I was linked to it) but am not sure of the officialness of the list itself. The info link just goes to the IGN page for the original game so I'm not sure what's going on? Maybe they just assumed its going ahead because of the EA/trademark thing? :confused:
Bioshock is listed seperately so I'd think it's unlikely to be confusion about that.
edit: I would register and ask what the deal is but the registration page doesn't seem to like my browser. Probably Microsoft trying to force me into IE - unfortunately for both them and me, I don't have it on my Mac...

Well I posted a basic request for information, but note that this list of games is found in the Australian forum only, somewhat odd, so lets not get too excited yet.

SS3 is developed by EA and the Godfather team.

Well there we go. The impossible just happened. We're getting another system shock. But the studio developing it will most likely butcher it...
I'd be interested in hearing if they're gonna to do a remake or a totally new episode.

What I predict:
They'll try to make SHODAN "sexy". They won't have Terri Brosius doing the voice. They won't have Eric on the sound design.
Oh yeah, and 10 months development time (and that's if we're lucky).

cool to have a new outing of this supurb series, although IMHO, it was looking glass studio's and Irrational games' hard work and dedication to such a well worked out and integerated gameplay and story that made these games so seminal.
we all know what happened when Deus Ex produced a sequel...:tsktsk:
