So what's stopping you?
Well if i do change the position of some objects, portalize and save i get to a black level of nothing.. And it would be rather hard to move objects around without knowing where the walls and stuff are..

True, you cannot portalize. You just have to manevour around approximately. Look, I disagree with this practice, I have never seen it before and will never practice it, but if someone does it's de jure.

So i have to move objects around and then not portalize and then just save it and it should work?

Yes.

Yes.
Hmm well okay.. Think that would be a pain in the a.. Have you tried Multiplayer?
Rainalkar on 12/3/2009 at 17:25
It's not that hard, just move it around in world view.
I did, I couldn't play it due to crashes, most on eng and especially ops. Didn't proceed further.

Why would it be a pain to not portalise? You don't need to reportalise after moving objects, unless you just love wasting time.
Anyway, I know at least some of the SecMod missions never had unstripped versions. All the modifications done to eng2 (for example) were object-only because we don't even have the unstripped version of that map.

Okay, well then i would try doing it that way.. :)
Its a shame with multiplayer.. I really hope tf will make it work as it would be awesome new life to the multiplayer part to.. :)

the secmod mission archive was made by pasting the relatively few unstripped missions we have onto the game's original stripped missions, replacing as many stripped missions as possible
as for multiplayer fixing, both me and nv will need some pretty serious convincing to go back there, we're like hudson not wanting to go back into the hive

Hehe that sounds pretty ugly to work with? I could imagine it would be quite hard to locate the bug as it is wierd how its acting in game.. But i would say that if you got multiplayer to work, well then it would be totally complete..
