This looks like it'll be the best mod for SS2 that I've ever seen. I can't wait to try it!

It would be even better if the mod was more stable. Hydro C is a real nightmare now and it's annoying to get crashes during loading times.
Still, it's indeed a huge improvement over vanilla gameplay and it's also a shame that we can't play Christine's campaigns with this mod. It would make an already enjoyable experience even more enjoyable.

What kind of crashes are you getting on Hydro C?

The same ones that I reported on SBF: crashes to desktop, but I'm still not sure what caused them. I had to rush my way through the level in order to complete the objectives. It sure ruined the experience that way.
It never happened to me in the previous levels, at least not as frequently (only during loading times). Besides SecMod, I have installed SHTUP Beta 6, Kolya's crosshair, ZB's no health bar mod and Kolya's fixed Morris strings. However, I seriously doubt those mods are causing the crashes.

It almost sounds like the Hydro2.dif bug, but I'm sure TF fixed that.
I suppose one of the custom scripts could be causing it. If you have a save from near where it happens, you could email it to TF or me and maybe we could work out what's going on.
You could also try hiding away the file NVScript.osm and checking if it still crashes after doing so. (If it doesn't, then it's most likely my fault! \o/)

I tried the .DIF trick, but it didn't do anything. As for a save, I dunno... it seems really random.
Anyway, I'll try the NVscript.osm trick now.

Well, what do you know, it did the trick... I guess. I went back to Hydro and started running around for a while. No crashes yet.
However, although I'm not sure if it has anything to do with that fix, I'm now unable to use either rad or anti-toxin hypos. Go figure.
EDIT : Also, doing that seems to cause many graphical glitches. For instance, the QBRM holographic "diagram" doesn't show up and the weapon of the crystal shard hybrids becomes invisible.

Well, of course. SecMod isn't playable without my scripts, too many things rely on them.
It's not a "fix", it's just narrowing down the problem.
Also, great. Sounds like it's my fault. I have no idea where to begin looking, though.

Glad I could help. It's surprising though that I'm the only one reporting this so far. I mean, the issues I mentioned are rather serious.
EDIT : it seems that my hypo problems is definitely caused by NVscript.osm.
Nameless Voice on 9/9/2008 at 02:43
No, your hypo problems are caused by a lack of NVScript.osm. ;)
Anyway, a saved game would still be useful, since I just tried a quick run around that area in ShockEd, destroying all the eggs, and I didn't get a crash.
