I am not personally going to worry about it until I hear that you ARE in fact a jive-talkin' wise-crackin' sidekick to Garret in 70's New York.
Actually even then I'd probably go nuts for it.
I'm most worried about the part in the interview where he takes inspiration from other games like Assassins Creed and Splinter Cell as those are really fake-stealth to me.
I've never played any games that take stealth as seriously as Thief. Being a first person perspective game where you can use environment entirely to your advantage is damn near unique to the game.

I hate to sound like the sort of rabid negative creep that dominates game anticipation forums, but that quote provided me the same concern.
Well, that and their choice for their announcement logo.
(I know, I know... but still... someone with authority at Eidos Montreal made that decision and nobody stopped him. And it was the ONLY thing fed to us on the day of the game's highly anticipated announcement.)

I think the fact that they went for a reworking of the old traditional logo that we all love seems to go people here by.
They could have opted for something entirely new, and (very likely) much worse. Keep that in mind.
Thi4f looks great in the logo, as long as the game's called Thief 4 in text.

Truly.

Thi4f looks great in the logo...
Yet it's not representative of the series. It works for Deus 3x because 3 = E but 4 = A.
Leet speak being 'cool' has kind of passed and aside from that, it just doesn't fit with the game. Looking cool should not come before what best suits the subject matter. lol It's common sense.

What about Thi4f: Deadly Gunz? The game will obviously be designed around consoles first and foremost, with a last minute sloppy PC port, so the title should be appropriate. :thumb:

Well that would explain why everyone is responding so positively to it.

Meh I like it too. I don't buy this "4 = A" formula. It's just a way to get the number four into the word, that's all. It's the classic logo. It looks hot. Thief 4 is coming. Chill out.
