Nice to see a thread such as this, seriously, i feel insulted as a Thief fan by how Eidos PR thinks we are just a bunch of 1337 kids. On the other hand, people feel insulted way too fast on the nets anyways, so i'll just say that if they dont botch the game i really dont care about the logo. But still, what defines my love for Thief are the details (the Trickster is in them), and if they mess up something that is such a no brainer like the title, i dont dare to imagine what utter violence they could do to the rest of the franchise. May the Builder guide them back on the path of the righteous!

^^ Yep they are, but that's the only graphic we had to go with at the time. As I said, rest assured, for it will likely change - we see the feedback. ;)

I guess I just don't understand why the logo was created in the first place. If any amount of research into the Thief game or community had been done, they would have known how to better represent the game.

It was done with the Driver franchise also, hence Driv3r cameth. There it may have made sense, but Thi4f, well, doesnt ring the same really. The 4 could be interpreted as an E in runic alphabet (if there is such thing), i'm sure it was just an attempt at branding. I think we're all overly glad (and a bit overly protective too) that our feedback is heard on this ^^

Wouldn't want to be the guy who drew the logo. "They gave me an hour and a half on a thursday afternoon to make a placeholder logo and now I'm getting lynched at the forums on a daily basis."
