I kind of like omitting any numbering from the Thief series and enjoy each of them in isolation. The Dark Project, The Metal Age, Deadly Shadows.
Hang on: Does the name "Deadly Shadows" actually have anything whatsoever to do with the plot? I've just noticed that it makes no sense.
This is truly beautiful.

No, admitted by the developers, it has nothing to do with the plot. It was just supposed to be "cool"... :eww:

The phrase "Deadly Shadows" is used in one of the readables in the game though, I believe it's one of the Keeper journals. Memory is failing me now, I'll leave the direct quoting up to jtr.

It almost sounds like it's meant to be part of the tutorial, except
Thief: Benign Footsteps doesn't have the same 'leet' ring to it.

Can't possibly refer to Gamall, the decidedly deadly shadow from the past, can it?

It
has something to do with the plot. The phrase "deadly shadows" is, as far as I remember, part of the most important Keeper prophecy. You can find it in the Keepers' Compound.

I like it, DN... bit of a change of colour scheme. Is the dot on the I really necessary, though? ;)

That's just more of the classic pre-release TDP logo goodness! :)

At first glance, this look like 'Thief: Hi' to me.
