OK, here's a list of armour that is treated as the Imperial Legion uniform:
- Imperial Steel Cuirass, Heavy Armour, Weight 29, Base AR 16
- Imperial Chain Cuirass, Medium Armour, Weight 21, Base AR 12
- Lord's Mail, Heavy Armour, Weight 30, Base AR 100
- Duke's Guard Silver Cuirass, Heavy Armour, Weight 30, Base AR 20
- Imperial Templar Knight Cuirass, Heavy Armour, Weight 30, Base AR 18
The Imperial Sliver Cuirass dosen´t seem to work, i started with the chain cuirass, found the steel and bought it, later on i found the Imperial silver cuirass and thought "hey, it says imperial, therefore it seems like a logical assumption that the guards will accept it"
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!:nono:
That really p***ed me off, since i now had to travel around trying to find a bloody cuirass that they would accept.
The ones i had before and sold, the traders had put on them selves so i had no chance of buying them back...i tried using the leather cuirass but u know what they said:laff: ...
I now have an (almost full set) ebony armor:sly: and there is no way i´m giving that up!!!
And most ppl know how much an ebony armor weighes so i have no room for excess weight!!!
I do not want to install a mod...please advice...

Sorry but I don't think there's any way around this without installing a mod......the mod to go for is a very simple one, which allows you to wear an Imperial ring instead of armor, and the other Legion members will be satisfied. If you decide you want to install it, you can probably get it from morrowindfiles.com or rpgplanet.

Here's the three easy steps to create your own mod:
- Create a new ring called 'Imperial Ring' or something, and make sure it has a unique ID.
- Assign the script 'LegionUniform' to it.
- Place it somewhere in the game world.
Now, save the plug in and select it when loading Morrowind. If you equip the ring, it will be treated as a uniform.
Of course, you can replace the ring with anything you like.

(as you see, I haven't figured out how to do fancy quoting like everyone else. This could be because I haven't tried)
Anyway, ad rem:
1. See my earlier post, point 3, for a mod-less yet practical alternative to lugging suitable cuirasses around
2. Sirollus Saccus (who is also the master trainer for armorer), in the lower level of the Imperial Legion garrison in Ebonheart, has imp. chain cuirasses for sale AND he'll talk to you when you are out of uniform
Ania (who had a look at the Morrowind construction set and was utterly unable to make any sense of it so far. Note to myself: must try harder)

If you keep saying that, they'll send you to the knackers.
Pardon the Animal Farm referance...must try harder ;)
