cant get raesa pullia to talk to me about the camp at gnar mok. everyone at the fort says im "out of uniform" and will not talk to me. what type of uniform am im supposed to be wearing? i didnt start the main quest right away but ran around the island gathering and selling loot to build up attributes, armor and weapons. im wearing a full set of glass armor. what "uniform" should i be wearing? if i buy a set, keep it stored somewhere and only put it on when i need to talk to certain people who obviously require that you're wearing it, and then change back would that work or do i need to be wearing a uniform all of the time?
thanks,
marty

You are a member of the Legion, and must be in uniform, any armour with the word "Imperial" in front of it should do. All you need is the curias.

and no, you only need to be in uniform when talking to other officers

Just a few of possibly useful points:
1. the Imperial Chain cuirass which you get when you join and can also buy in many places sometimes causes the game to crash to desktop when you try to equip it. If, like me, you are running an unpatched version, this is something to look out for (save before you try to equip it; sometimes when you reload, it works fine, sometimes not). I did try to patch the game but it doesn't want to know. The patch is supposed to eliminate this bug.
2. I didn't want to lug a heavy piece of armour around, so I bought an Imperial studded leather cuirass, and I was still told I was out of uniform.
3. The other Imperial cuirasses are heavy armour, and I ended up getting one of these for each legion location and dumping it at the spot to which you teleport when using Divine Intervention at each Imperial legion door, and just equipping it when I got there.
4. One of the quests from the man at Fort Moonmoth (IIRC; the one outside Balmora) involves rescuing a member of the Legion from a dwemer, or was it daedric, ruin. You battle your way to him and the ungrateful idiot tells you you are out of uniform, goodbye! So take one with you for that one.

You can dl an 'imperial-ring' mod and wear any armor you want when the ring is equiped if you have the PC version. If interested you might check: (

Hehheh. I was poking round the wizard's tower in Tel Vos t'other day and I stumbled across an Imperial guard locked in a cell, with a notice nearby saying they'd had to cut his rations after he tried to escape. Being the kindly soul I am, I grabbed the key and let him out, expecting to be set upon any moment by the other guards. So the door swings open, and "WHERE'S YOUR UNIFORM?" greets me. Talk about pedantic
:grr:

Maybe he just likes women in uniform? No, wait, that'd mean he just likes men in uniform too, and that's further than I want to consider :p

OK, here's a list of armour that is treated as the Imperial Legion uniform:
- Imperial Steel Cuirass, Heavy Armour, Weight 29, Base AR 16
- Imperial Chain Cuirass, Medium Armour, Weight 21, Base AR 12
- Lord's Mail, Heavy Armour, Weight 30, Base AR 100
- Duke's Guard Silver Cuirass, Heavy Armour, Weight 30, Base AR 20
- Imperial Templar Knight Cuirass, Heavy Armour, Weight 30, Base AR 18
Umm, so yeah.
