Hi, I've just dragged out thief 3 (time for the biannual thief session :). It is all working fine, *except* that the mouse pointer doesn't move. I can see the "mouse" is actually moving around the screen as buttons highlight and I can click on them, but it is slightly annoying having to guess where it is.
I've tried a Microsoft "Basic Optical USB Mouse" and a PS/2 mouse (I had serious doubts that would have any effect whatsoever under XP, but just in case...)
I'm on Windows XP SP3, Thief 1.1 (+minimalist 1.4.1), nvidia GTX 260, Nvidia drivers 185.85, on a quad core Intel CPU. Note this mouse problem occurs under vanilla thief as well.
I've setup the process affinity as well, which fixed some problems with t3minimalist.
I've noticed this with other games on this machine actually.. e.g. Mass Effect had a special checkbox (I can't remember the exact description) you had to randomly flail about to enable to make the pointer work.
I found that editing the default.ini and setting t3 into windowed mode makes the cursor work - I've been using that for configuring the initial settings, but I don't really want to actually play it in a window.
Does anyone have any idea how to fix this in T3?

i have found these drivers to be buggy, under Xp, Vista and w7, go back to 182.50.

strange I have the 185.85 drivers installed and played thief 3 again with no mouse problems, although I did install the usa version of the drivers and not the international version, due to having problems with the international drivers before.
