Walt tells his father that the others are not who they claim to be.
its in the bit after he tells his father that they have him doing tests.
It could be that the crazy french woman didn't kill all her friends, shes just went crazy and thought she did, and these others are exactly her scientist friends, that got shipwrecked on the island. And they have nothing to do with the hanso foundation. They we shipwrecked there 4 years after the hanso foundation set up the bases there and who then dissapeared, maybe the scientists from the hanso foundation have evolved into a higher form of life, eg that dust monster wandering around the black rock area.

She might have said Ms. Clue, but I
heard Miss Cleo.
Dude, when they got him outside the hut and said she would see him, I made a Miss Cleo joke.
I did the voice and everything, "Call me now"!
Then she said Miss Kleugh and the Mrs. & I Lol'd.

Hah, I (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1391602#post1391602) called the person who actually passes Kate back to Sawyer and Jack as being a bloke. Good bit of planning there.
Preview looks good.
have the counter running out, a dharma key and a boat.
The boat has gotta have Desmond on board as he's briefly in the preview. The Dharma key is possibly used on something that happens when the timer actually runs out.

I actually felt they pulled that off pretty realistically, without too much heavy-handed MEANINGFUL GLANCE TIME that you'd normally get in a yankee show
Oh, I agree ( I was just making fun). The part that I felt was clumsy, was Sawyer's "I screwed her". Despite Sawyer being typically subtlety-deficient, that line made me scrunch up my face a bit. :erg:
T-Smith, yes,
we know some of the others names, and Ethan, Goodwin and Henry were all pretending to be not others. Ms Kleugh (as a known "other") actually introduced herself to one of our castaways. KnowhutImean?

When I heard her say her name was Miss Clue (or Kleugh or whatever) my first thought was: so that makes Mr. Friendly/Zeke Colniel Mustard, and maybe Ethan is Professor Plum- maybe the fake Henry Gale is really Mr. Green. And they probably took Cindy because they needed a new Miss Scarlet.
Doesn't explain why they wanted Walt, though.
And to keep the references coming- seeing the apparently empty boat made me wonder if they're going to try some sort of Gilligan-esque escape only to all end up back on the beach by the lagoon. All they need are cannibals and for Charlie to start wearing a red shirt and sailor hat.
I sure hope the finale can work some magic. They're starting to loose me.

but this was the first episode of the season that I felt dragged things out too much.
Are the first three episodes forgotten so soon? They showed the same thing from 3 different camera angles fs
I liked the episode a lot, though it did drag. I'm very hopeful of a kickass next episode. I'm sort of torn about Charlie. Yes, it's NICE that he and Claire are friendly again. But let's be honest, he's a horrible, vindictive little cunt who doesn't deserve happiness. Wisha!

after Dharma's demise
Are we sure that Dharma is defunct now? I mean, who's been dropping the foodstuffs labeled 'Dharma'? Is the Hanso Foundation still operative? The 'commercial' for the H.F. seems to imply that it is. There are Hanso sites all over the place according to the map online. And, according to the 'secret' letters you find on Hanso's website, there was an implied accident, so it's possible that there are still active Dharma sites at the other locations shown on that map (including a 'secret' one just off the east coast of the US). The scientists, etc., were deliberately left stranded on the Island (read 'quarantined') since they were all considered contaminated by this accident.
Re: Desmond & the sailboat, we heard Ms. Clue (whatever) tell Michael 'they' would give him (& Walt) a boat if he carried out their orders to the letter. We know they had at least one boat (motorized) that they used to kidnap Walt, so it's not improbable that they have more than one. I would think, though, that the boats would be heavily guarded, making it damn near impossible for anyone to steal one. And if the Others have a boat with a motor, they could have easily caught up with Desmond in the sailboat, which leads me to believe that yes, this is just another experiment. Remember, they didn't let the raft guys get very far, so I don't think anyone is going to actually be allowed to escape. ('k, this is way too much thinking for a Saturday morning!)

They took
all the children, remember? It seems Walt has some extraordinary powers that make him very valuable to them. ('Has Walt ever appeared someplace where he wasn't supposed to be?') We just don't know if Walt had this power all along or if he just developed it after landing on the Island.
P.S. Anybody else notice how Walt seems to have experienced a growth spurt? They'll have to resolve his plight before his voice starts getting deeper and he loses his 'kid' appeal. ;)

D'Juhn Keep -
No, I haven't forgotten the first 3 episodes, but I felt differently about them. So much was revealed in those episodes and so much happened, even if we were just seeing only a small timeframe of events seen from different angles.

I believe in one of the official Lost Podcats, the writers of the show mentioned that over time we would learn about what caused "Dharma's demise" which gave me the impression that yes, they aren't around anymore :p
At least, not in an official corporation way.
As for the Hanso Foundation, I'm sure they're still around.

He had this power all along. One just need to watch Michael-centric episodes from the first series.

(
http://www.oceanicairlines.com/) The whole site has been removed and a shrunken memo image appears in its place. Umm, shouldn't be too hard I guess, but I tried enlarging the darn thing in 10% increments in Photoshop and can't make it out. :o
We've also got a login to figure out at (
http://thedharmainitiative.org/) (which is also home to the entire orientation video to the Swan) and (
http://www.dharmaindustries.com/) [anyone willing to pay for that pre-membership card?] I believe these last two are fansites.
Oh yes, and at the bottom of (
http://www.oceanicflight815.com) there is a barcode type looking thing. There's a code to enter in that box. Official ABC site. Looks like they're gonna keep LOST fans going between seasons for sure, what with the Hanso Foundation website secrets being cracked - unless there are more to come.
