Yeah, but that was with a rifle, right? And it took all of about 5 seconds. Mikey was reacting like a professional hit-man that night imo.
My frustration level has risen almost to its limit as every new episode just leaves me with more questions than answers. I'm fully aware that most of these questions will remain unanswered until the end of the fourth/fifth season. I am feeling particularly grumpy on that account.
I don't find myself frustrated with this. Kind of amazed actually. Over the course of the season, lots of things have been answered, but tons more questions have been raised. Yet while seemingly revealing nothing, the writers of the show have been able to develop the characters and story a lot during the season, and have managed to maintain the excitment and thrill all the way through.
Now THAT is DAMN good writing for you :p

HOLY SHIT
Also STOP GODDAMN SPOILERING THINGS THE WHOLE THREAD IS A SPOILER IF YOU COME IN HERE AND SOMETHING IS SPOILED FOR YOU YOU ARE A STUPID HEAD - except Preview spoilers, I guess.
Best episode in memory, clearly. That was great all the way through.
I dunno about the whole mind control thing, it's possible I guess. It just seems perfectly reasonable that Michael would kill to get Walt back. But how will this get Walt back? Have the others promised him safe passage off the island or something? Seems obvious that he'll claim Henry escaped, shot him, Anna and Libby somehow and got away. I don't think he'll be able to maintain the lie though. Althoguh shotting himself in the arm is pretty hardcore, so maybe he will.
I still think I'm right about Locke joining the others.

Pretty debatable - especially when reading through this thread and seeing people say "fuck it"

GBM started adding spoiler tags for some reason to everyone's post. I would have agreed with that before the title for this thread had "spoilers" in it (I walked into the trap after missing much of season 2) but now that it's there who cares.

Maybe it's just me, but in the preview for the next episode I thought I had seen him inside the room where they had kept Henry. Do you think perhaps he was just standing there in shock, waiting for everyone else to come back and "find him" or that eventually he was found out (one episode to get the answer to such a big event, woah!).

Locke seemes to be going with anyone who will "accept him" and he's certainly got a lot more going on while on this island than anywhere else. Very feasible.

Anyone want to bet that Jack's dad is the surgeon responsible for Locke's paralysis? Since they seem to be going for "Everyone Knows Jack's Dad."
My theory: The guys that Locke's dad scammed come back and shoot Locke once or twice and one of the bullets lodges in his spine in such a way that it is POSSIBLE that he wouldn't be paralysed. Locke gets admitted to emergency surgery, and Jack's dad (a little the worse for drink) decides to operate. Botched surgery, severed spinal cord, Jack's dad blames the trickiness of the procedure, everyone says "you did your best" everyone goes home.

I just got really sad, because I went back to the first page of this thread and started reading how excited I was about this series, remembering back when the hatch was a thing of terrifying wonder, all the WTF conspiracy OMGness that just kept getting mindfuckinger and mindfuckinger. I see a few regular posters here, but only a shade of the number in the first few pages, who are still excited but even they are commenting on weak episodes, lack of plot and stupid character developments. I'm sad because you guys can still get excited by the dramabomb of a few characters being killed off, but I can find nothing but contempt for that kind of pulling-their-punches writing. I still wish so badly that they'd forced themselves into a 2 or 3 season deadline, that way the writing would have been so more focussed and precise. Reading the spoilers for the past five or six pages has given about an extra ten or twenty questions to be resolved and I've still to see an answer for the ten or twenty questions that I had from the end of season 1. Poor play. :(

Yeah, I agree. Lately I've been watching the show more out of a small, nagging curiosity rather than actual interest and excitement. Nearly all of that excitement died a few episodes into season 2.
BlackCapedManX on 8/5/2006 at 12:41
I'm getting the feeling that Libby can't be dead. There seems to be the idea that she'd be getting killed off because of the whole drunk driving thing back in Dec. '05, but they've introduced a bunch of new plot threads since then (her involvement with Hurley and this business with her being in the hospital) which would be pointless to bring up just to kill her off.
D'Juhn Keep on 8/5/2006 at 13:04
I wouldn't mind her dying actually. People die with unfinished business. It does happen, you know. ;)
But similarly, I personally wouldn't understand the actress being fired for DUI. It just seems like a ridiculous reason - unless she couldn't make the filming dates due to being in prison?

I just read a bit on the Hanso Foundation website. Very interesting indeed! I remember checking that site out last year, but it wasn't as developed as it is now. Belboz; though the site explains a lot, at least in regards to what type of experimentation might have been being done on the island, there's still enough mystery to keep me guessing. (Sorry to hear about your disappointment Scots & speesh. No, really.)
'k; I sent a message to Joop & tried to join the Hanso newsletter. What's happening now on that page is kinda creepy. Make that very creepy.
Oh God; they've got my name now.
edit: There's other writing under the 'Hello Dia. Can you read this?'. I can't make out what it says.
God! For a fake corporation someone went to a lot of trouble creating this site!
It is a fake, right?? Right?
