Last night's episode was just...wow.
I don't understand why Michael had to kill Ana Lucia, when he could have just shot her in the leg and thrown her in the klink. Unless of course he was supposed to kill her, specifically. Seems out of character for Mike to kill someone in cold blood, even if he is bartering for his son.
Henry REALLY knows how to fuck with Locke. He is just evil. I see Locke possibly switching sides before the end of the season.
Ana really knew how to use sex as a weapon. Unfortunately for her, it backfired. Ouch, no pun intended.
Libby can't be dead, there are too many unresolved questions on her past. Still, if she lives, she'll be able to rat out Mikey.
This show continues to amaze me. This episode would have been a season ending cliffhanger for most shows, but for Lost, it's just a warm up. Next three weeks should be great.

Anyone here ever consider that maybe The Others captured Michael and infected him with "The Sickness" we've heard about throughout the show? Perhaps The Sickness is some kind of disease The Others infect people with, some kind of brainwashing drug.
The way I figure it - Michael shoots Ana Lucia and Libby so that he'd be able to free Henry without any witnesses. Then, since Jack and the others knew Michael was in the hatch, Michael shot himself in the arm and let Henry go. All to make it look like Henry managed to get the gun and escaped, killing Lucia, Libby, and wounding Michael in the process.
This way, The Others get Henry back, but still keep an agent inside of The Swan - one who doesn't have any suspicion placed on him, and who the survivors trust as a friend.

Some kind of tradeoff. Michael is desperate to get his boy back.

For those people who need to catch up and don't feel like fucking around with torrents and the like: (
http://dynamic.abc.go.com/streaming/landing) ABC has free streaming episodes with exactly 1 minute and 30 seconds of ads. If you're outside the US you'll have to mess around with proxies and stuff to make it work, (instructions (
http://www.ghacks.net/2006/05/01/howto-watch-abc-tv-streams-outside-the-usa/) here).
For the back episodes click on the menu button after selecting a show and you can choose from the whole season. Video quality is quite good, but not full screen.

I say T-Smith FTW on this one.
I also think Michael may have been *supposed* to kill AnaLucia in particular, or maybe one of a few possibilities. fake Henry Gale said she was a 'bad one' that Goodwin thought he could change. And now, whether he's sick or brainwashed or coerced, Michael is definately the Other's agent.
If Libby is dead, then she can always come back in Hurley flashbacks to finish out her story arc. She was 'killed' by accident (HAY GUYS! I heard a gunshot! what's happ'nin?), and I can't see Michael letting her live to tell her tale. Unless he really is totally out of his mind or she turns out to be in a coma or something and Michael thinks he can lure everybody away to thier dooms before she comes to.
And I'll bet Kate is just waiting to get Jack aside to try to discredit Michael's story. Jack won't believe her, though.

If anyone is going to catch on to Michael's 'new persona' it'll be Sawyer. They got to know each other pretty damn well during their time on the raft, etc. I just keep seeing the look in Michael's eyes immediately after the shootings as he said he was sorry; it almost looked as though he was surprised, then click, he had that sly look again. I'm gonna go with the brainwashing-maybe-he-has-the-virus theory.
Damn.

Brainwashed my arse; if he was brainwashed he wouldn't be apologizing to corpses

'k then, it must be the virus thing or some other method the Others use. I'm tellin' you that I saw two different personalities in his eyes! I don't think that Michael would kill in cold blood even to get his son back - he seemed like he really wasn't in control of his own actions. He looked absolutely devastated after he shot AnaLucia and for a brief moment he did seem like he was honestly sorry and shocked that he'd actually just done so. Shooting Libby just seemed to be a reflex action in response to her surprising him. What bothers me is that he has pretty accurate aim; as if he's been trained in the use of guns (did I miss something about this in an earlier episode?). Consider our fake Henry; he's obviously possessed of two separate personalities. Also, consider the French chick's daughter who helped Claire escape from the medical bunker. I think the Others are capable of a form of mind control, whether through this virus or other methods.
What I'd really like to know is the criteria the Others use to distinguish between the survivors they consider 'Good' or not good. We already know they don't want Kate or Sawyer. They only wanted Claire for her baby yet one of them thought Kate could be 'turned' (which is what I think will eventually happen to Locke). So how are they determining who they want and who they don't?

Before Micheal headed out into the jungle Lock instructed him on gun usage.

Yeah, but that was with a rifle, right? And it took all of about 5 seconds. Mikey was reacting like a professional hit-man that night imo.
My frustration level has risen almost to its limit as every new episode just leaves me with more questions than answers. I'm fully aware that most of these questions will remain unanswered until the end of the fourth/fifth season. I am feeling particularly grumpy on that account.
