Yeapp. I think it's time to bust out the good old Mediaplayer Classic and roll the tape from the beginning.
It's a bit over the top at times, but the intrigue and details make up for it.

Did you notice that the comic book the kid was reading depicted the hero (Spider Man, I think) being attacked by a polar bear? When asked about it, the director said that all of the props are carefully considered, and are relevant somehow. WAHT. It was a Green Lantern/Green Arrow crossover comic, and one of the producers/writers stated that there was a definite connection between Walt reading the comic with the polar bear in it and the polar bear showing up, but I think that's been slightly disproven in the last episode when Rousseau said "If we're lucky, it's one of the bears." Another reason to watch: One of the main writers for the show is former Buffyverse scribe David Fury (he wrote the Locke-centric episode).
When Rousseau mentions the bears, I'm quite certain that they might be on the island because Rousseau's science team was transporting them from one place to another? I don't know if polar bears can survive in the tropics, but it's a thought.
Also: I've been hearing a lot about the monster not actually being a monster, but a "manifestation of fear" the way it seems to appear when the characters start getting really freaked out. Like in the cockpit, when they find out they're 1000 miles or more in the wrong place. And notice how Kate does that counting thing that Jack told her about, and the moment she hits 5, BAM, the fucker is gone.
Locke is hardcore because he's faced the fear and now understands loads and is all wise man and shit.

Personally, I think
everyone died in the plane crash, and they're stuck in some weird purgatory of some type.
Great show though, really original.

As Tonamel said, they also have pointedly stated that every prop is very purposefully included, and that even the things that seem extraneous have meaning on the show.
Actually, Ton spoilered that little bit of info, so thanks for ruining it for the rest of us. :grr:
(I kid, I kid)
From everything I've heard, I've been dying to start watching this show, but I missed the first couple, and wanted to watch them in order. Plus, I'm only days away from getting my new plasma TV, And I really wanted to watch them in HDTV, so I think I'm just going to have a marathon in a couple of weeks.

Hmm...I never thought of that, but you could have something there. It's a great show, I love it, but...I think the sentimental moments at the end of EVERY show is getting a bit old. Other than that, it's a great show, should be interesting when the pregnant woman has her kid.

Fucking HELL I don't need to start watching television again, you bastards.
My resolve is weakening as we speak and I don't have time for this shit.

So is bit-torrent the only way to watch back episodes of this right now? Is that what I'm reading? That or wait for the DVD I 'spose...
What's up with ABC taking on the big guys (NBC, CBS) these days?!?! That Desperate Housewives show is no slouch either!!
