Gunsmoke and I regularly talk about wrestling with each other, so I thought it might be fruitful for the discussion to be opened to other potential viewers here.
I've been catching up with the back catalogue. The Money in the Bank PPV was largely shit. The Raw MitB ladder match sucked and so did the Sheamus/John Cena cage match. (We can all agree that Cena is a hack with limited talent, but he was in some decent PPV matches this year, like at Extreme Rules 2010 and Over the Limit.) Largely tame, low risk bullshit. I recall these sorts of crazy when I was a kid. The #1 Contender's threeway vanilla match between Jericho/Edge/Orton on the following night's Raw (bloody good match, BTW) was a zillion times better than the MitB cage match. Stupid PG rating making WWE high risk gimmick largely matches suck arse. When was the last time that WWE had steel cage matches as awesome as some of those from TNA Lockdown 2010? Particularly Kurt Angle/Mr. Anderson, Rob Van Dam/James Storm, Kazarian/Homicide/Brian Kendrick/Motor City Machine Guns. As for the rest of the PPV, the Smackdown MitB match was okay, Ray Mysterio/Swagger Heavyweight title match was pretty decent. As usual for WWE, the women's title match was appallingly bad.
I'm pretty dubious of the upcoming Nexus vs. Cena group match at Summerslam. Most of the Nexus guys can't wrestle for shit, save for Wade Barrett and Justin Gabriel. If it's mostly street fight type stuff rather than proper wrestling then those guys would look better probably.
Not looking forward to TNA's ECW reunion PPV (Hardcore Justice), TBH. Most of the talent are likely way past their prime physically. I'd much rather see TNA's current talents rather than these washed up guys. For example this Beer Money/MCMG "tag title tournament" on recent Impact's has been fucking awesome thus far. Both of those tag teams are hugely talented and put on excellent matches.

I suggest that you watch the documentary that inspired Arronofsky's film, "Beyond the Mat". An insightful look at some of the realities of the industry.
It's really sad what drug abuse as done to so many performers in recent years. WWE deserve great props for introducing their Wellness Policy, safeguarding the health of their talent.
