Most of the 'dance' music I listen to is more fit for the home than the dancefloor I reckon, yer usual Warp records techno-y stuff, and I don't really know much about any really obscure, little-known acts. But from what you've decribed I'd like to suggest Plaid if you're not already familiar with them. "Music that will make one anxious and want to get up and move" made me think of the track "Last Remembered Thing" in particular.
Also, still on Warp, the soundtrack for the PC game Hardwar was absolutely excellent - I haven't been able to identify all the tracks, but iirc it's a combination of Autechre, LFO and there might be some Aphex Twin and Squarepusher on there, I'm not sure. But there's one absolutely stunning Autechre track on there that is a lot less ambient than their usual stuff - unfortunately, it goes all slow and not at all danceable at the end, more like "music that will make one anxious and want to sit down and frown."

"Tigerman", "Hey boy", "Lil' Red Rooster vs The Robodog"+ Daft Punk, Röyksopp, Chemical Brothers (but you already knew about these)
+ totally girly shit ya need to check out: Robyn's latest (self-titled) album. More pop than techno, quite dancable to. Download "Crash and Burn Girl"
edit: shit, how could I forget? Mindless Self Indulgence just released the "Straight to Video" single. 15 remixes of the same song. Most of em ain't nothing special but there are a few real techno gems in there. Just download the Nonplus, Noise Unit and Combichrist remixes and be done with it.

Oh yeah, there's (
http://www.symbionproject.com/instant.html) this guy too. I forget his name, it's probably on the page there somewhere, but he was invovled (or
was) several of the acts featured in Frequency and Amplitude. There's shitloads of stuff on the page, but pretty much anything under the name of
Symbion Project, particularly "Synthesized" which is one of his tracks from Amplitude, is the stuff I like.

I've been using (
http://www.pandora.com) Pandora more and more often to get music suggestions. I generally use it for rock though, I don't know how functional it is with other genres.
Cool. Thanks for sharing. :)

Autechre haven't been ambient for at least 11 years!
I like the music made by The Quantic Soul Orchestra for dancing.

I guess it depends a bit on whether you want an artist album or a mix album - obviously there's a crossover because chaps like Tiesto do both.
Some of my favourite mix albums are these:
Tiesto - In Search of Sunrise 2
Sasha & Digweed - Northern Exposure (if you can get the 2 disc version then fuck you, you have far too much money)
John "00" Fleming - For Your Ears Only
Sasha - Global Underground #13 - Sasha In Ibiza
Gabriel & Dresden - Bloom
Cream: Ibiza Departures
Artist albums don't interest me to the same extent but some good examples are:
Tiesto - In My Memory
Tastexperience - Beyond The Horizon (more laid back)
Vitalic - OK Cowboy
Push - From Beyond
The Digital Blonde is supposed to be bringing out an artist album soon on the joof label, but I think that's likely to be a digital only affair. Nevertheless, he's pretty terrific, as are JunkieXL, Max Graham, Transa, Breeder and Tilt. The whole 'dance' arena is often lacking good unmixed albums because of the idea of remixes - artists often do some spankingly good remixes that don't appear on the albums.
If you want to download some mixes, Paul Oakenfold's Radio One Essential Mix World Tour from 1999 is pretty excellent (and I suppose semi-legal if the rumours that the BBC are going to open up their archive free of charge soon turns out to be true). John "00" Fleming has a good online radio show (Global Trance Grooves), but I always forget when its on and end up downloading it anyway.
