why are you limited to 1024?
William Dojinn on 21/9/2006 at 21:14
Actually there are two sepirate models, one with the gun(presumably for the 'final' cutscene, and for the suicide ghost, and one without, which appears to be the one all the multiplayer textures use.

Polygon limit is ~1024 safely, you can get up to twice that or more with meshes but the conversion tools will decide on a whim as to whether to accept and convert it, or to crash.

Oh, good to know! Thanks :)

Goggles is an AI mesh. I've made AIs with >4000 polygons and they've worked fine. Although Dark's horrendous rigging doesn't work as well with complex models.
As for the model, the 'hat' is more of a one-piece cowl than what you've made it. I presume the texture will be cleaned up, because at the moment he's looking rather effeminate. Good start.
ps Good luck with the fucking horrible rigging system.

He looks effeminate? Is that a new trend?
Seriously, he looks like a cartoon version of Goggles but not effeminate.

Hi,
following on from my suggestion of SS2 in an older engine at (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=108930) (sorry, I don't know how to link directly to my post), I have been working on my own models, including the updated Goggles for this conversion. I have inserted my first meshes below.
Please note - this is only a beta, but gives a flavour of both the visual style, and the gameplay. I apologise that the images need some work, I'm not a professional artist. Hopefully the models are masculine enough for everyone.

Note - the image may need maximising to read the text properly.
Best wishes,
Kefren

I like the changes made. However I want to know...what're thsoe things in his ears?

Ah ... I'm gonna guess: earphones. It sure would help explain all these voices he keeps hearing in the game.
