The Democrats had legitimate reasons to block that bill. They wanted to further expand unemployment protections for people, and nix some provisions that would allow corporations a blank check to do what they want with their stimulus money, like using it to buy back their own stocks, like what they did in 2008. The Republicans are, of course, playing the partisan game by claiming the Democrats are playing the partisan game.
One thing I've discovered about all this is that it's amazing how many people don't read beyond the headlines.
