People wearing masks in SEA is not remarkable or notable. Especially in China, people wear masks just because of the pollution and of as a matter of course during the cold seasons.
As for China Observer, they are pretty much backed by Falun Gong. They have their own political and religious agenda and are extremely (and justifiably) anti-CCP. As such, they boost any messaging that discredits the current regime in China, whether it's true or not.
If you want to get a more accurate critical picture of China in form of Youtube videos, you might instead want to watch The China Show who, while being biased and a tad sensationalist, don't have such an overt ideological agenda.

Starker. What's the point of engaging with content that doesn't just repeat what I already know to be true? All work and no memes.
My concern isn't so much COVID as it is the common cold. I wear a mask at work because I occupy a test tube full of sneezing, coughing, nose-picking school kids. And then there's my man-child co-workers, who are pretty much the same. I usually end up with a secondary bacterial infection and now I am allergic to two classes of anti-biotic. Getting scary.

A few weeks ago I was warned by a dream I was gonna run over by a pickup truck, I took heed of the advice and another person got into a fight with a Green Nissan D21 who supposedly accused the pedestrian to try to "mug him" and he tried to run him over and failed, he got so mad that started to run up and down the neighborhood, all the while being tailed by the county rent a cops.
Covid, AIDS whatever, I can take it.
