I almost thought that was a throwback to my amygdala bit, except I said (more or less) that those were Erotic Acorns. But I actually got it wrong. Amygdala is Greek for almonds, so they're Erotic Almonds after all. :erm:

I love that there are people out there who believe that these evil organizations, while plotting to take over the world, also have someone working on anagrams to use for no other reason than to leave breadcrumbs allowing them to be uncovered by people whose diaries read like fan fiction.

You'd think the Illuminati would be more circumspect about covering their tracks. Instead, they hide their schemes in such a way that the average Joe/Jane can easily uncover 'Moronic' from 'Omicron'

The first death from the Omicron version was reported in the UK today. (
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-59639007) Also reported by the BBC:
Quote:
On Monday, the UK Health Security Agency confirmed 10 people had been admitted to hospital in England with the Omicron variant.
Their ages ranged from 18 to 85 years old and the majority had received two doses of a Covid vaccination, the agency said.
Our 3 related families in Wales are all double vaccinated, flu-jabbed, and all but one has had a booster. The last booster should be next week. Only one person had problems with any real side effects and that was me with the booster which I had nearly 4 weeks ago and still have some leftover nerve damage. I'm hoping it will continue to lessen as time goes on because it's a pain in the arse if not in the arm. If I'm offered another booster in 6 months, I'll be taking it.

A new study has uncovered why the Omicron variant may be considerably more transmissible but cause less severe infections in patients.
Preliminary research from the LKS Faculty of Medicine at The University of Hong Kong found that the virus multiplies faster in the bronchus (the tube that carries oxygen between your trachea and the air passages in your lungs) than the lungs.
Comparisons between the original Covid, Delta and Omicron strains found that Omicron infects and multiples 70 times faster than the Delta variant and original Covid strain, however it also multiples 10 times lower in the lungs than the original strain.
So it's more closely targeting the throat lining meaning more of it gets coughed out. This is in line with some of the speculation we've made in the thread.

It's the "right" way to evolve to common cold.....

The latest thing I read was that AstraZeneca isn't effective against symptomatic Omicron. Now I'm glad I picked Pfizer when I had the choice between those two. I did a bit of reading at the time and decide Pfizer seemed like the better chance.

The first Omricon case was recorded in the UK on November 27 - an estimated one million people per day will be infected by Sunday, current estimates suggest.
^ From an article about the first Omicron death in the UK. Guy was in his 70s and an anti-vaxxer, believe Covid was a hoax. That's becoming the same old same old story now. 1 million a day Omicron infections in the UK over the winter! So we're going to know a lot more about Omicron very soon.

This paper came up in the most recent TWiV Q&A (first 5 minutes or so): (

It will be interesting to see how these preliminary speculations bear out when we start having more reliable data.

How the hystory would treat those "freedom" fools?
