there are no easy answers here, no one has a crystal ball & it's far to easy to sit here behind a keyboard pretending we have the answer to this problem.
I do get to criticize the stupidity MY state has engaged in, keep in mind I AM social distancing, I am staying the fuck at home, right now I am at work because the shop is only working 3 days as the orders STOPPED coming in since everyone is afraid of what the fuck is going to happen tomorrow and they have no answers to it and out GOVT is clear as fucking mud on the matters . flattening the curve IS important, saying we are going to stay like this till August is yet another reason why people are saying "fuck this puto and his nice haircut, I got bills mother fucker"........... so mostly liberal CA is joining hands with the alex jones crowds because they see their POS "leaders" not wearing mask and going about their business w/o a care in the world......... plenty of people are asking about unemployment because they have gone weeks w/o a check and the damn bills keep coming.
the state IMHO would have had less backlash & better results IF they said "wear a mask/ we gloves, practice social distancing, stay away from large gatherings ", instead they are closing businesses and parks/hiking trails/beaches etc etc etc and then telling people "yeah stay like this till August you fucking peons, don't like it? tuff shit"...............
